Paying a higher premium has got you a higher valuation, but will Classic Line stand by the valuation?? The Club's insurers (Lockton's) questioned one of my valuations and that was a rare 964 Jubilee and I had to prove why it had that value (National Concours Winner, very low mileage, FSH, Immaculate interior, low owners etc.) and had to send them plenty of pictures to prove this. Once this was seen they then agreed to the valuation of the car.
Has Classic Line asked to see lots of photos and had comprehensive details about the car? If not then I would be asking them to confirm this or heaven forbid the worst did happen you may end up with a major argument regarding the payout.
And how do I know this? Well I used to be the Ford RS Owners Club MK2 RS2000 Registrar and one of my major roles was to value cars accurately and then liaise with insurance companies on the owners behalf if there was an incident, having to prove why the valuation I had given was correct and give photo evidence and detailed notes regarding the car (all kept on file for each valuation I preformed). I also had to show similar vehicles that had been sold to back up the valuations given.
I had a few different types of records, illustrations, photos & documents which were used for the Insurance quotes and PCGB Valuation.

All insurance is a Scam..
Adrian Flux had 2 options either market value + Mods or An agreed Value on a like for like basis of replacing all the listed parts.
Eg: the total cost of the car + all the work was 37K, and from memory this includes the Purchase at 4K which they said could rise and hence in the event of a claim the payout could be more if the vehicle's market value had risen. The other option would be fixed at replacement costs for all the parts, unyet I questioned how they came to 16K then to replace 37K ? not only did they do a Politician thing, (wriggle and not directly answer this!) but also added in the event of a Claim a settlement figure would be presented! Meaning their agree Value really wasn't set in stone at all anyway!
I can't remember who the other one was ? Hastings classic & Modified ? or something anyway they were lower and sounded like although they were advertising for modified vehicles the usual suspects were a different back box and a couple of bucket seats! So they were for sure scared when they saw the extensive documentation and hence their agree value was very low..
I was lucky to find Classic Line who were able to answer all my questions and also confirm an Agreed Value is exactly that.
The Premium was only £100 more than Flux (£350 pa)

Being completely honest it was only seeing the picture of the stamp that reminded me, it was also serviced by Parr motorsport, but other than detailing it in a list of the history it wouldn't even occur to me mention it.924Srr27l said:Wow, your a Brave man admitting to your car having service history from what some seem to suggest is a bogus company that was nothing to do with RUF Germany, well done..
I'm sure if you ever come to sell your car, or anyone on here also with this documented history from the UK arm would also refer and declare these 3 letters RUF on any such advert.
Great idea, you could then join the "nut job club"944Turbo said:But Then I dont plan to sell the coupe anyway - Its done almost 200k and I still want to find time to fit an LS3
