Rutland Meet - Now 27/02/11

Good idea, I turned up late, then the rain curtailed events, I was looking for someone to waggle my gearstick to tell me what they thought was wrong with it (Maybe I shouldn't talk about that in the context of meeting blokes in car parks....)

I was going to ask peeps the same thing if I made it! [:D]

Is your stick flappy too? [;)]

Really glad everyone seemed to have a good time, gutted I couldn't come. Look forward to seeing folk at various other events through the year all being well.

A really good morning out.
Big thanks to Andy for organising food- great to see 18 various 944's if you include the sailors
or was it nineteen?
Will not bother posting pics as a lot better ones have already been shown.
Nice to see everyone and some fabulous cars.
Cheers
Ron

This is usually the plastic bush at the base of the gearstick wearing. There is a fix in the faqs, although it's not the easiest way it is a permanent repair. Alternatively you can get the gearstick refurbed or modified, Jon Mitchel used to offer this as an exchange service and I'm sure other do as well.

All the parts are still available from OPC and with a discount i dont remember them being crazy crazy priced,i did every joint /bush on my race car last season.

Andy and I are just on your doorstep mate if you need any more advice or you just want to burn some fossil fuel.

Thanks Rob (and Andy). I really appreciate the offer. [:)]

Really sorry I missed you guys, spent half of sat trying to get WUF running. First time since July I've managed to get more than 30 mins on the car.

Unfortunately no success this time and I've blown up my daily runner too. That'll teach me for buying a Subaru!

hawk mk1's,
red ones.
so according to this forum that must make them faster. ;)

We had one of those land in Doncaster today, I hope it was nothing serious, I'm guessing you wouldn't normally land there by choice?

Loving looking through all the pictures although I think it's a shame we all went or seperate ways after lunch, as a nice run-out to somewhere else would've been nice, maybe next time, maybe Cumbria? [;)]

it went to pick another jet up, had 2 pilots in the red one then it and a black one flew back. so the pilot of the black one didnt have to travel to far back to base. yeah i was thinking that, they all looked so good together and such a rare sight should have convoyed to another place.
