Rutland Meet - Now 27/02/11

Hey guys ... I'm going to really struggle getting down any time before lunch / early afternoon to be honest. I've got something up north tonight that'll mean I won't get in till gone 4am after a long drive - will be absolutely shattered. []

Are 'things' occurring in the afternoon worth coming across for? What actually happens at these things after the initial tyre kicking and pub lunch? [:)]

I'm leaving from Watford area then up the M1.

Who's driving up from London/SE area? Might be a good idea to meet for breakfast somewhere just outside London + drive up in convoy?

Edd

I was, but not sure what way I'm going yet. Might have to stop off on the way. Where were you thinking of starting? One of the M1 services could be possible.

Yes I was think of somewhere off the M1, one of the service stations suit you? (not sure of their names).

Edd

Looks like I will, indeed, be coming up the M1 having gone via Hemel. What's the next service station up from there, and what time would we need to leave it? Work back half an hour from there and we're on! [:)]

I'm now not going to be able to make this. I've got a load of work to get on with tomorrow, which unfortunately doesn't include any Porsche fun! [:(] It does at lease FUND the Porsche fun though ...

Enjoy yourselves and I look forward to seeing the pictures.[:)]

I will hopefully see you all soon at another 944 meet!

Looks like the only one after the London gateway is at Toddington LU5 6HR? Nearly half way...

Probably too late for people, but I'll stop off here for breakfast on the way. I'm in Hemel for about 7.45, so soon after 8.15 at Toddington. For those who don't know me I'm the bloke in the PCGB fleece eating sausages!

Cars all looked really good today. Shame about the rain. Have just bEen called away so couldn't make the meal. Andy will Pm you. Really nice meeting you Mike and thanks for the info. Hooefully seen you about. Steve and Caroline

Good to finally meet up with people and put the faces to names, sorry I was so late turning up, mine was the least red red one there!
It was great to have the procession leaving the car park and heading for the pub, sorry I couldn't stay for that.

Excellent turnout, huge thanks to Andy for organising the meal, sorting out what people wanted and even splitting the bill at the end.

We were lucky that a few late arrivals took the food orders over from those who didn't make the meal despite booking their food, otherwise it would have had to be split between the people who did go. [&o]

Great day all round except a bit of rain, and we're all hardy enough to survive that. I reckon my car was actually a bit cleaner when I got it home! [:D]

Ditto, thanks Andy for sorting. Nice to meet you all. It was a good way to spend a Sunday morning

A few piccies from me too;

Great day. Really good to see so many cars and will just remphasise how good the procession of 944s out of Rutland car park looked [:)] Really good to meet so many other afflicted people. Top notch job to Andy as well for sorting out the grub, which was also top notch. Let's have a sunny one as soon as we can. I would even consider driving to a venue more than four miles away [:D]

Well that was a good day, lots of 44's good company & food, seems like an annual Rutland meet should be date for the diary.
Thanks for your kind comments the organising was made easy by you, I had received a text from Steve & Caz letting me know that the would not be able to attend but I did not read untill after lunch when I was back in the car.

Nice to put some more faces to forum names, lets meet again soon maybe when it's warmer[:D][:D]
