Excellent! We might beat last year's line up of, I think, 15 cars? [8D]

Has anyone volunteered to arrange lunch, liase with the pub, order extra Yorkshire Puddings for me, etc.?

Also, is this a possible idea for the afternoon?

I haven't liased witrh pub - anyone local up there who could ? Otherwsie am happy to give them a ring myself. I like the idea for the afternoon, would give us something to do rather than just drift off after lunch.

12.30 for lunch or is that too early ?

Would 1pm be better for lunch to allow plenty of tyre kicking and bonnet lifting beforehand?

Then again, it will take you about 1.5 hrs to get to Silverstone after lunch has finished....

All very true - would welcome feedback from those planning to attend as to whether they want to do the Silverstone thing too or just tyre kick and have lunch. I would think lunchtime would depend on whether the plan was to head off elsewhere or just stay put.

Personally, I'd probably not bother going to Silversone - and in any case, there are no timings available for the event yet so it might not work out, time wise, anyway.

Also, I'd prefer to have a bit more time to meet and chat to people from here and have a relaxed time at the hostelry. Maybe have a gentle (of course [:D]) drive round Rutland Water before heading off?

Just my 2p of course....

could a 924S tag along for lunch ? not bothered about a run to silverstone

if so then : put us on the list for lunch at http://www.whitehorserutland.co.uk/

I may take the wimpy option and say yes if the weather is reasonable - its 3 hours plus each way for me, but would be good to meet some people I have haven't seen for a while!
Tony

Helen, of course. Tony, you're a wimp. [:D][:D]

I'm guessing Silverstone isn't worth bothering with. I can't find any timings and it's not worth rushing lunch just to hack down there as it's finishing.
