The trick here is just to drive fast enough - 50mph seems to be enough to keep the driver dry under most circumstances..............

Oh yes. We managed not to do 50mph so as to achieve the full dowsing. [:D] Laugh? It was almost sufficiently funny to make me forget that I had just washed the car.

ford capri........oh come on you cannot be serious [:'(] HOW CAN YOU COMPARE MY FINE GERMAN ENGINEERING WITH A FORD CAPRI[:-] colour or not there is totally no comparison with that useless shopping trolley[>:] it s a sad day for me all the things every one has said but a FORD CAPRI .....ouch sorry boys got to go have a lie down to recover

I have no problem with my sunroof from a leak perspective I just have no use for that weight, especially up there.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]As far as removal goes I have again been fortunate to have had 4 944s with sunroofs that have worked as intended. Taking it out and drving much above 50 is a fast track to a headache in my experience though.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I must admit i've only removed my sunroof once and havn't bothered since. It's a bit too much of a faff especially now i've got my climate control up and running. I use it on tilt quite often though and it makes a lovely Sci Fi Movie style buzzing sound, a bit like the sliding doors Aliens.

which was left out as Porsche supposedly thought the shell needed to be stiffer without it, not for weight saving

Absolutely true except that porsche knew that the sunroof allowed the body to flex, hence it was omitted on SR`s and was a delete option only on the remainder.

BTW.............................................

I`ve got a stiff one..................................................

(no sun roof) [:D]
