SILVERSTONE CLASSIC 993 RS PHOTOS

ORIGINAL: RIVIERAM002 still trying for that elusive 1.5% Mike, as every 993 rs owner does not contribute to the forum, I have people in club office searching the date base for 993 rs owners to email an invitation so fingers crossed there could be a few more, wonder if that Japanese company would fly the viper green clubsport over for the display ?? [:D]
Could it be arranged for it not to be "re-collected" and left with me for safe keeping ? [:D]

Steve I have sent some emails out to other rs owners that i have on my data base that is fairly up to date. I am still on the reserve list for racing that weekend, will see if i can get some one to drop the 993rsr off,and leave it for the track day after.

I've missed a trick here somewhere. What trackday after. My RSR will be there as well so could maybe do this trackday.

Anybody got their tickets yet ? Can extra tickets be purchased on the day ? I need for Sat or Sunday ...

Tickets purchased months ago but not actually arrived as yet, you need the silverstone ticket hotline, there was a porsche club code to mention for the buy one get one free offer, this is based on one car with two passengers, all the info is in the porsche post perhaps around march or april editions, there will be something on the forum too if you have a search.

I recall from previous years the car clubs discount code is only useable up until a certain point, maybe 2 weeks before the event? I would call to make sure there is still time. there are usually a few tickets knocking around nearer the day, I know I have received a charitable donation for some I have been long of in previous years.

Thanks Steve, I have booked and paid, and am merely awaiting the bits of paper that will avoid argument on the day [;)] I hope the infield parking pass arrives --- where will the 993RS register be ? On the grass please . Could bring a BBQ ? [:D]

This year the club have the best infield display area, it is on grass next to the Ferrari club display, I would imagine the 993 rs would have a prime spot to with around 15 cars on both the Saturday and Sunday, thanks to sponsors GT Classics and 9M, the polo shirts are being made, and a big thanks to Paul McLean, Colin Belton, and Mark Clowes for there efforts and considerable financial outlay, plus a big thanks to Chris Clarke and Barry Smith of PCGB, I can confirm there will be 15th anniversary boxed trophies to be given to the display car owners with the anniversary polo shirts, its all coming together nicely and we just need a field full of your polished 993 rs motors, so hope to see everybody there in a few weeks. [:D]

Oh no, you don't mean it has to be clean as well [&:] Where's the nearest tap ? It might rain ?? [:D] Will infield passes come with the special deal two for one tickets ? It's so long ago I can't remember if I asked, and I definitely haven't seen a reply that confirms anything ...

Chris, I suggest you speak to Barry Smith asap, I have been told that the demand for tickets in the pcgb infield has been massive and they are struggling to accommodate everybody now, when you purchase your tickets with the porsche code, you should also give them your registration number for the infield pass, ring Barry to sort it or you will have a nightmare on the day []

Steve, I have the booking number --- do you have an email address for Barry ? If I mail him, he can forward it to wherever and it will minimise work for all ... ( Barry Smith is not a member ? [&:])

Chris, Barry Smith is not only a member, he only happens to be the register director for the Porsche Club, his email is register@porscheclubgb.com and his phone number is 01282 778308 or 07970 782136. Is anybody camping around Silverstone? Mike curtler has loaned his mate Gary his riviera blue 993 rs clubsport and is looking to camp on the Saturday night, can anybody help? I know there is camping in the grounds of the Whittlebury Hall Hotel, any info would assist Gary, thanks.

What's the code to quote for the 2 for 1 price then? I've organised all the polo shirts and for my RSR to be on display, but not bought tickets yet. My car is a race car and will need to be trailered into the centre of the circuit . Who will organise the paddock pass for this? Cheers. P.S. The bad news is that the polo shirt colour combo that we've agreed on had no medium size available for 8 weeks!!!!! I have ordered 10 Xtra Large, 35 Large and 5 Small. Trust me Mr Howells you are a small size being the F1 driver build that you are.

Paul, Vic, posted this in the 964RS silverstone thread... "Book tickets over phone with Silverstone , give them club 'number ' its SC10PGB , ask for infield pass and they all ask u ur registration .......bingo"

Paul, the tickets are out of the porsche club hands unfortunately, you will have to ring the Silverstone ticket line on 0871 2310849, there was a porsche club code for the buy one, get one free deal, the code is as clubsport says SC10 PGB, however this was a limited time deal and I think it may of run out but obviously worth a try, if you are having problems then Barry Smith ( details above ) is the man to speak to, I spoke to Chris Clarke a few days ago who said the infield parking was at its limit so you may have to sort things with Barry regarding infield display, this may be only conjecture so I would speak to Barry in any event asap.

Hi Vic, hows your diary for the event? I know you said the dates were not good for you, can you make it ?
