SNETTERTON 300

Few of our guys attended Snetterton few weeks ago enjoyed it... although the morning session was all learning.. for all us travelling fom C/Scotland its 7hours driving ( without a trailer) and 2 nights accomodation and ive got a few new guys from Aberdeen doing track days so its an extra 3 hours for them... cheaper for us to go to Ring or SPA maybe been better at O/P or Donnington as it more central for all and it would probably have been a sell out cu all at the usual RS day next year

ORIGINAL: danofesher Cheers Vic. I emailed Easytrack and they said they are members of the FAEO. I've then asked them how I can contact the FAEO and haven't yet received a reply. I'll probably go on the 19th.
I finally got a reply. Apparently FAEO members need to specifically sign something for each event, so, really you cannot assume anything - you need to specifically check with the track day organiser for each event (that's the advice from my insurer). There's no actual website and it seems that it's only insurers that can check the situation for an event. ATDO members are annual (unless membership is revoked), Jan through Dec and the list on the ATDO website should be accurate.

Careful Dan , just seen ur name on another Track Day List next Tuesday .............we wont say who on here, but i ve had to become a member for Manning s ..................................and that Car Club is not a member of either ....................so they told me to join and i wud be covered ! Looking out my window hope its improved by then !

Sorry Vic - given I'm now with Manning, could you please clarify what you mean? Who has to sign what exactly, in order to be covered? EasyTrack's website states "are FAEO and AMRCO approved" but they are not members of the ATDO.

As far as im concerned if the TD organiser is one of the 2 main bodies i do nothing ................i dont even ring first ..........including Spa, i do believeEasytrack membership of FAEO is good enough for the rs day my joke with Dan is , i ve been invited with a few others to a BMW track day next week , they do not belong to either , however on enquiring , Mannings said if i was a member of the BMW Car Club i am covered ......................i do have a mini Cooper and i am now a member of their club !

Manning's latest endorsement (E74) provides cover for 'ATDO, FAEO, or a recognised car club of which you are a member'. I'm a BMWCC member and recently moved my BMW insurance to Manning - it'll be a good way of trying out the latest Silverstone GP track (there are quite a few BMWCC members who are taking Porsches). I hadn't spotted where Easytrack state that they're an FAEO member so I've emailed Spyderman and he pointed me at the following: If you expand the question on insurance on this page: http://www.easytrack.co.uk/faq/show Also ATDO members' list - mentions Club MSV - not sure if that's relevant though: http://www.atdo.co.uk/atdo.php?pg=members&ls=all Vic in a mini - whatever next!.

Mrs Cohen s favourite ..her graphite mini Cooper !.......................u ll luv the gp track in a GT3

I assume the thinking here is that you attend a car clubday where all the cars are the same marque, then people are likely to be quite fond of their cars and therefore more careful, so its a lower risk. My last insurer wanted me provide evidence of the cars on the day, they would then way up the risk. A sensible approach I thought.

But unworkable. How are you going to know until the actual day? Even with the TDOs who have an online system that lists the customers already booked, you are still likely to find other cars not listed on track - like Radicals! And some who have booked may turn up with different cars.

Hi Guy's is it ok to come up to Snetterton? I will be away for a few days next week but hope to be back some time on Sunday, I am only about half an hour away. Happy to help anyone I have worked on Porsche's for over 30 years can bring overalls. Will also bring hat if there is a chance of a ride, I used to race there years ago but have not seen the new track. Berny.

I plan to be there hanging the camera over the fence at you guys. Not for publication of course, as not allowed by the organisers. Looking forward to hearing those 964RSs hammering round.

Yes, great day. My first time at Snetterton, really enjoyed the track. Even the traffic on the way home was OK, only took 2hrs to Surrey,

Good to see u all , some new faces Thanks Bernard Tester for having socket set and getting a bolt back in where it fell out ! More Pork next year pse Dan hope car not too serious ......................
