Hi Glenn will you be at Rutland?

It depends on car availability, Martin. I have cause to hope that my S2 will be usable but can't be sure . The 2.7 would be an unpleasant option.

Don't be so soft.... :)

Guilty as charged. The 2.7 would also be "illegal" at the moment, mainly down to the driver's seat not being bolted in and no seat belt. I might have the bits to fix that before the weekend...

Hello Chaps,

Only just found that this on for this weekend by accident, I had thought I'd subscribed to this thread for updates but obviously not!

Anyway, Ferdie is off the road at the moment so not much point me coming except to catch up with folk, so is there no list of who is coming??

Best Regards

Graham

Looks like a good turnout expected, and the weather looks better than most years!

Have a great day and please take loads of pictures for those of us who can't make it this year. [:(]

Yes I can see that might be a slight issue.. not insurmountable though. FWIW my S2 is quite civilised on the road - very comfortable compared to a number of other track cars I've had.

Disregard previous post, found details further down in the forum. Hopefully I'll get there Sunday.

Am hoping to make it with my 944 Lux 1983 model after seeing the run advertised in the 944 bit in the latest Porsche post.. Will confirm shortly.

**Update** - yes, will be there. Looking forward to it. It will be the 2nd drive out in a week as I have organised a Spring Drive for R9 PCGB the week before! Happy days..
***Further update*** Am gutted as now can't make it. I shall definitely look out for more 944 drive outs though. Hope it goes okay and the weather stays kind. Baz

Hi Guys

I'm afraid that I may not make it....I'm currently confined to bed on doctors orders and to be honest the way I feel right now I couldn't even drive a mile let alone reach Rutland....I won't say a certain No though....I'm hoping these tablets help....fingers crossed

Did 240 miles in my old tub at the weekend - a bit of a problem with the immobiliser but otherwise good to go. Another Rutland virgin to add to the list. [:)]

Come anyway, I'll buy you a bun at the cafe [:)]

You'll be missed if you don't and it's always a chance to stretch the two seater [8D] (what I haven't seen yet)

I am in. I am not sure what I will be in in, but it will be one of the 944s. I'll meet up with the gang at South Mimms.

Should we make a list of people and telephone numbers for the rendezvous points? I'm hoping to be at South Mimms but may not make it; my number is 07879 820967.

Is anyone bringing a BBQ? If someone wanted to provide communal cooking facilities for everyone to bring a burger to cook on then they would be very popular [:)] I'd offer but our BBQ won't fit in the back of the car without being dismantled, and I don't fancy getting the bolts off without seriously damaging something - although I'd be very happy to bring a bag of charcoal and some matches.

Generally the rule is we leave at the specified time. We don't wait for people because that throws the schedule off for meeting at the next location (Peterborough Services). If you're late, assume we will have left already.

We leave South Mimms at 08:30.
