Hi guys, just bought myself a little beauty of a 944 (1983) which needs a couple of cosmetic bits:

the locking mechanisms for the boot (both sides including the mounting bolts and the rubber gasket if possible) however the actual key socket's not necessary

and the clip for the passenger visor

am also interested in a roll out boot cover but i have just bidded on ebay for one

any help would obviously be appreciated so please pm me if you can help

The locking mechanism or the part into which the pins fit, I bought from my local Porsche Center in Newcastle and the pair cost less than £50 including P&P and arrived within a few days, much cheaper than from anywhere else I tried. My pins and mounting plates I got from FrazerPart Porsche @£14ea but if you can get the old pins out of your car you can just replace those from a Porsche center for a couple of pounds each. For the rubbers I have would try the Porsche center first, I got mine from either FrazerPart Porsche or the Porscheshop but they were not cheap, can't remember how much now.

First of the parts from my car

A set of wheels from my 1990 Porsche 944 turbo S.
7.5 front, 9 rear fitted with Michelin Pilot sport cup tyres good for one or two track days. Also two slightly worn and two new Michelin Pilot sport cup tyres.

£600

Collection only (near Aylesbury)

Thanks

Steve

Steve - i would be keen on taking the tyres from you if they are:

245/45/16 and 225/50/16 for a 1986 turbo.

Please get in touch.

Last chance! I'm breaking a 1990 S2, the shell will be going to the scrapyard in a week or so. Any parts requests please pm me!

Hi all,
Anyone interested in fibregalss vented badge panels. The one the same as the lindesy racing is £125, the other is £70. Also have a front splitter that replaces the undertray for £180. All new only been on the car to check it fits.

Rolling chassis for sale, 1990 S2 includes gearbox, torque tube, suspension, 3x s2 wheels (plus spacesaver), carpets, dash etc. You will need a trailer, I am based 15 mins from junction 14, M1. All this for the massive sum of £50!

Rums944, can you confirm which badge panel is which price? I think you are saying the first attachment, with the single vent, is £125, and the second one, with the twin vents is £70? Thanks

Well I was keeping this to put on a worthy 944 of my own but WUF doesn't need one, nor would it fit.

Bought because it makes a nice subtle modification replacing the leaky plastic original item with a much better quality metal piston type without attracting attention to itself. There are a range of different spring rates available which are easy to interchange simply by unscrewing the top, but it is supplied with an intermediate (red) spring designed for 15-20psi.

I bought it a while ago but the cheapest I could find it online at the moment was £90+ postage so I thought £60+ postage.

Yes the first one with one vent is £125, I think lindesy racing do them for about $270. The second one with two vents is £70 but can change the size or number of vents. Also thinking if making them with a metal mesh/grill in the vent.
Hope this helps.

Would be very interested in one which has the mesh/grill in place...That said even one without is on my radar.

Hi Jon,
I have a lindesy racing style one and one with two vents already made.
I can send some better pictures if you are intrested. Or could make one with different vents?
It may be better to phone as i dont use the computer during the day.
My number is 07903542855.
Thanks, Dave.

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a rear window for a 944 suitable for a bridge spoiler. Following a little off road event that the car decided to perfom I now have a frame and spoiler but no glass.

I'm happy to travel for a window at the right price .

Thanks Roger944.

All 924 944 968 hatchs are the same glass - any porsche breaker will have them

I thought that the genuine bridge spoiler had different fixing points to the "proper" 944 spoiler? Have I just made that up? [:D][:D]

Paul you are right, the genuine ones are a different mounting to the nice rubbery ones.
The glass is the same but the bridge spoler frame has tags at the back for the trim fittings and I believe the mounting holes for the bridge piece itself are different and through the bottom edge of the glass.

Quick update - just purchased a nice rubbery spoilered window off ebay for £33 [:D] I'll keep looking for the correct one, but at least I can use the car again.

As a matter of interest, a new one from Porsche would be £3800 ish including VAT. A new through Autoglass as my insurance company advised was in the region of £5000, fitted of course to the insurance company, I would have paid only £70. However, Mr Insurance assesor wanted to write the car off if I proceeded with my window claim, so I told the insurance to forget the glass claim.
