Spring Run to Champagne

Back home after a great trip, highlight of my 912 ownership. Thanks to Gav and Stuart + all the people on the trip for making it a fantastic weekend.[:)]

I got home about 1.05am after having cover 965 trouble free miles, I guess about 25 of those miles were clocked up trying to get out of Dover[:-].

Hope everyone got home safe, pics coming soon, any idea of the best way to share the short videos?

Yep, thanks to all concerned, great weekend, great company! Will get the pics developed (not digital unfortunately..).

For me the highlight was the 912s and 911s "buzzin the tower" on the Reims start-finish straight... that full throttle sound reverberating around the grandstands!

All in all a great weekend, thanks Gavin

" Gentleman, start your engines!"

Good picture and more to come!
Got back about 11pm, and collapsed in a heap, well done to everyone who had further to go.
No problems on the battery, I guess I should have followed you on the first lap around Dover becasue I was convinced you were headed the wrong way (which was right!) a lap later managed to link up with everyone else doing the same thing!
Will post the pictures and the videos up later as I have been offline all day (bloody NTL)

Glad you all had a great time!
All the thanks must go to Stuart for putting on another great trip. Sorry I couldn't make it.

I can post the video and pics on the Register site, so you can email them or send a CD whatever is easier.

Hi Guys
What an absolutely fantastic weekend. Thanks for welcoming outsiders with too many cylinders. The treasure hunt was great and blasting round some of those roads (with squeaks from the passengers seat) was great fun.

Like others the blast past the pits was tremendous and seeing motorsport history like that really makes you realise what heros the racers of that era were.

From both Annie and me a big thanks to Stuart and Gavin. The Club and other Registers have got a lot to learn from you.

Look forward to seeing the picture and video and will post mine asap

Thanks again Ian & Annie

There is now a 'Champagne Run 2004' section in the Gallery under PCGB events.
Post away!

(Jeff kindly posted the gallery as I am unable to gain mod access to gallery priviledges at the moment, thanks Jeff)

Alex, great pics, what player do you need to view the videos?

I have posted my pics in the gallery, I can't say how great the trip was, the fact that I looking forward to next years run already is enough, I think.[:)]
