My dealer is OPC reading. I think they are sending technicians to local clients, but using proofs he recovery to bring cars in from further afield. Still no news on any compensation package
My OPC is Guildford, so same group as Reading.Hi, which Porsche OPC is it that you liaising with? It's odd that they are not all doing the same thing and sending technicians to check the cars.
Yeah I thought they were going to announce the compensation package this week??My dealer is OPC reading. I think they are sending technicians to local clients, but using proofs he recovery to bring cars in from further afield. Still no news on any compensation package
my OPC said yesterday that they expect parts to arrive by end of January.
I’ve just spoken with PGB and apparently the package has been agreed and there’s a briefing Monday AM and they’ll then be contacting customers. But they don’t expect recall work to be this side of Xmas.
As an aside for anyone who has their car on with PFS have you spoken to them about getting finance payments refunded? I’m no lawyer but I have a contract with them to provide a car and currently they don’t provide a car that’s fit for purpose. I spoken to them and the first guy said yes the payment will be refunded and then the next guy ran away from that commitment as soon as he could and said it was PGB problem. Speak to PGB and they say it’s PFS problem. Not very joined up I have to say.

Missed a call from my OPC who left a voicemail saying that had now received the package details, will find out Monday. Another week of a lovely 992 turbo sat on the drive…l
Same here, driving around the most expensive Macan in the U.K.
At least you have a Porsche loaner. I have a Merc E Class Estate from Enterprise.Same here, driving around the most expensive Macan in the U.K.
Fair point Jon, first world problems
compensation package is £1k per month, unless they provide an equivalent car (911) then it drops in month 2 and 3 if you car is one of those impacted / needing replacement parts, to reflect they have provided the car. It seems to vary if you have finance, suspect Porsche finance rather than wider, which doesn’t seem fair. Seems on the low side to me given inconvenience

Where did you hear this? £1k per month is an insult, especially given how much these cars depreciate per month. At the very minimum, Porsche need to cover depreciation costs, storage costs and some goodwill for inconvenience.
The chap that came today seemed to think that the compensation package wouldn’t be affected if you have or haven’t had a loan car, as those are coming from the dealers, not Porsche UK. Regardless, I don’t know of anyone with an equivalent car, it’s mostly Macans or Enterprise rentals, so it’s irrelevant.
Direct from my OPC. i Also have a Macan provided, the offer is they swap for a 911 for a lower amount. I agree it’s a low offer And interested to see how this varies if you have finance on the car.
Agree seems a low ball offer. Interested in what they do for non-financed cars though. I do now have a Cayenne as a loaner but don’t need an SUV as have a Macan alongside the 911.Direct from my OPC. i Also have a Macan provided, the offer is they swap for a 911 for a lower amount. I would aslo be annoyed if i had a finance payment that is >£1k pm.
Drops to £250 per month in month 2 and 3 if they provide a 911
