The 2011 PCGB Club Championship

Almost forgot the championship positions after 4 races for the top six in Class 1 is: 1st SUMPTER 121 2nd DEMETRIOU 80 3rd FOLLETT 74 4th ELLIS 68 5th KOEBERLE 59 6th MORRIS 57 Sumpter well out in front and a mix of DNF's for others and then 'no shows' for the likes of McAleer and Harrison at one round has thrown up this most interesting situation ------ it is making the season very exciting already !

Had a great day at Croft with you PCGB racer "types"... Great weather + good banter.... Chris + Paul, I hope the engine was ok after the oil pick up pipe problems,? Im guessing you caught it in time before it did any terminal damage. MarkK , you looked like you were having LOTS of fun in your VERY Red 968. Did you manage to get a new rear light.? Paz, hope you got some good pics, you normally do.... PaulF + Ben D . I hope your season continues in good form, Looks like your riding high on the wave of good consistent finishes,,, you know what "they" say, to finish first, first youve got to finish....Although its only the start of the season....!!!! Hoping to be at Donny in "support" mode , just depends how the BMW - E30 racing works out... Keep it on the blackstuff...[;)][;)][;)][;)]

Although Ben has a fastest lap and 2nd in the Championship Class - I think we need to find out how Ben's car was set up the last time he raced it - because we don't have enough racing experience to know how to get it right first time. The results have been fantastic but I think they are more due to his driving than the set up - so if anyone can help the team - please let me know - we can do the setting (have corner weight scales and 4 wheel laser alignment) but don;t know too much yet about the right damping and what geometry we need. We need to learn and it is going to be hard while trying to keep the car up there at the same time without experienced support. Baz

It was amazing fun, but so much to learn !! All newcomers, you have an easy target in me !! [:D] Tho' hopefully not for too long, so join us !! [:D][:D]

There can only be one winner --- well done Mark Sumpter of Paragon. I must add for correctness that Paul Seagrave, for whatever reason, let me past him. He was almost two seconds faster than me in Pauls Club Challenge race, so these pictures can only share a flavour of the weekend. Thanks to all for being such great sports, says the mobile chicane [:D][:D] Chris W [8D]

Dave, it was great meeting you --- and your diagnosis was spot-on. Big thanks to Paul Follett for reminding me about the balancer shaft question ... And mega mega thanks to Chris Dyer of Strasse who gave us the whole of his Saturday evening on the basis that we could help him ... Like we were really able to !! [&:][&:]

Nice pictures Chris, you have however posted one of Kevin Eacock wearing a very dodgy looking hat [:D]. I posted a picture once with him partially in it, I think I got away with it, just make sure he doesn't find out...

Nice photos guys......... roll on Donington on 15th. Yes Chris Dyer was a top man to sort you out on Saturday night .......... in that photo of him under the exposed crank he is actually wearing a white shirt! them thar Strasse boys are so good they can do that stuff and keep their shirts clean!

Almost forgot, might anyone have a 968 driveshaft for sale -- ie for the RH side of a manual car. thx

According to updated points Tally Mr Follet is number 2 in the Championship.....well done Mr F!!!!![8D]
