This Sums Up Everything That I HATE About 944s Now...

ORIGINAL: Diver944

Looks to me like his mate (bidder no 9, maybe?) bid it up too much

There is another possibility. This last twist just beat me saying that now I know it is the same car I've been in. Look out for it coming back up for sale immediately! Lets just say that at 2000-2500miles after the re-build (for whatever reason) it was the WORST running 944 engine I've seen. I'd say it was burning about 1 liter every 10miles or so (judging on the clouds of blue smoke under load). I can't imagine its got any better in the last 5 years (maybe it has?) but with the best will in the world I can't imagine anyone who's seen the car in the flesh paying £4k + for it.

Well guess the correct smiley at the alleged ebay sold price was :ROFLMAO:.

Least the PH ad does mention "running rich" (to put it mildly judging by Bens experience of it). His new asking price would seem to be in the realms of fantasy, let alone what it supposedly sold for yesterday.

Unless the chap had it confused for a two stroke
