TiAL Wastegate group buy

I know Slim sounds like he's up for it so there's 3, and Tony sounds like he could be convinced. I guess you all contact SFR and ask for the order to be shipped as one...?
If the shipping is very expensive - anyone fancy a trip to the US for a weekend? [][]

I've been looking on the US Postal Service website and come up with these charges for international shipping using 'Airmail Parcel Post' which is a 4-10 day service. I think that a WG cannot weigh more than 2 kilos but I have assumed it weighs 3 just to be safe ( 6 lbs US )
One WG at 6 lbs would cost $35 plus $4.60 for $290 insurance and $1.75 for Return Reciept (which is I think like registered post), so a total of $41.35
Five WG at 30 lbs would cost $107 plus $16.60 for $1450 insurance and $1.75 for Return Reciept (which is I think like registered post), so a total of $125.35 which would be $25.07 each, then you would have whatever cost to forward it on in the UK []
So I think the total cost would be £160 ($290) for the WG and adaptors, plus £23 ($41.35) shipping and the possibility of £41 vat and import duty, giving a worst case grand total of £224 [8D]
I have a headache now [&:]

The third way escapes me just now so you'll have to search on Rennlist []

what do you all think?
Still seems a bargain to me, but is there a better wastegate cos I don't want to buy this one and then end up forking out for another.
Don't forget that by getting the Tial you can sell your original.

I only know one person who has the TiAL and that is Fen who has the 46mm (I think). The Rennlisters all rave about TiAL products and the 35mm is able to cope with 400 HP at the wheels so approx 450 flywheel which seems plenty to me []
I'm happy with my shimmed WG, but that is a great price (and I can sell my WG afterwards). I'll decide at the weekend, because my credit card cutoff is on Friday, plus if my dyno session is good tomorrow I may be happy with what I already have []
The good thing is we don't actually need a group of us to buy, we can just call up Tim at Speedforce one by one (as you have for the postage quote))

Yep, I have the 46mm. Not stictly necessary, but at least I can still claim bragging rights after you lot have all got the smaller ones. Mr Sims has been very quiet on this one, but all the rest of you boostie boys have bitten, I think.
