Just as well it wasn't today m8 -blizzard conditions!!![&:]
Melv,
Were you racing today at Cheltenham? Didn't look much fun on the TV or out of my window. We live 1/2 a mile from the racecourse - I remember you said you have family / friends nearby? You should have popped in for a hot toddie if you were in the area.
Just watched motorhome racing on Top Gear. Looked fun, how about a few demonstration laps at Oulton Park?

No certainly not, just ask him politely that in future ho ought to announce that he is a part-time dealer.
As Bryn is importing cars from Japan I'd be interested in hearing about his experiences in doing so and what the pitfalls are.

Well I really didn't want to drag this thread up again, but as there are some out and out untruths in it I feel I should.
Jason - what you have said above is simply NOT true. My very first post on any of the PCGB forums was in the 993RS forum asking for advice. In that post I started by declaring that I run a small business selling iconic cars. I did not mention the name of my business or post any kind of link to it so there was no element of advertising. With hindsight I should have done the same in this forum, but whereas the 993RS, whilst undoubtedly a great car, is not a car that I really want to own myself, the 964RS is a car that I have always wanted so I didn't think to approach this forum from a trade point of view. In any case, it was out there on the other forum and in my profile for all to see so I was not hiding anything.
Paul Dishman & ChrisW - I would be more than happy to discuss the ins and outs of the Japanese market and what is available out there. Before I went in to the trade I always thought it was great when a dealer would give an insight in to areas of the market that are otherwise relatively unknown, so I am happy to do so now that I can. I wrongly assumed that other forum members might appreciate that. If anyone has actually bothered to look at my site properly, you will be aware that I offer to import any car on behalf of a customer for a very small fee. The difference is that the customer is taking the risk with their money whereas normally I take the risk with my money. For that I think it is reasonable to make some profit on a car. But if a customer is willing to risk their money then they can potentially get a very cheap car. (If any mods consider this is as advertising please remove it).
I do understand why some members have a grievance with what I was asking on this thread, and I have already apologised for that. Obviously there are a few established RS specialists in the UK, but you must remember that even they had to start somewhere. There was a point in time when they were not RS experts. I would rather seek good advice from those in the know and offer good cars than just buy and flood the market with rubbish as some dealers seeking a quick buck would.
Anyway, I hope we can draw a line under this now and get on with discussing the 964RS. Please if anyone does not approve of traders posting on here, can I ask that they ignore any posts that I might make. For everyone else, I look forward to talking with and hopefully meeting you all sometime.
Cheers,
Bryn.
