Touring vs Lightweight values

ORIGINAL: bryn_p

My very first post on any of the PCGB forums was in the 993RS forum asking for advice. In that post I started by declaring that I run a small business selling iconic cars. I did not mention the name of my business or post any kind of link to it so there was no element of advertising.
Cheers,
Bryn.

You made no mention that you were looking to purchase as a trader whatsoever so it is very true.

Anyway seems to me you are enthusiastic about the cars even if a trader....so I'll leave it there. Keep us informed of what you get and what you think of them

Hi all,

I've been looking for an RS for a while and have the opportunity to buy a low mileage car at a very good price. It has had a front wing replaced but otherwise is ok.

But its a Touring spec and that is putting me off a bit. My personal view is that if I am getting an RS it should be the proper stripped version, but as I say at this price it can not be ignored. What is your opinion of how the market views the Touring vs the Lightweight? Am I likely to suffer grief come resale time?

Many thanks,
Bryn.

Call me dim Bryn, but can't help thinking this was a post of a private buyer knowing evidently nothing but looking for a quick fix education.......hope you got it very very very cheap and sell it for mega profit....[;)]

Interestingly the Lightweight/Basic and Touring are the only 964RS that Share the same chassis numbers ...... the other derivatives are easy to define...[;)]
