Track Days

This event is selling out quick! So count me and the un-modified 944s2 in. **Warning - novice!** [:D]

My S2 is standard, but it will only venture out on track if I have replaced the headgasket by then. After 210,000 miles it has probably already worn through at that water channel by cylinders 3 and 4.

I'll come along and watch if I can get the daqy off, won't know until nearer the time. The irony is that I need bad weather really in order to take a day off, which you lot won't be happy with! [&:]

ORIGINAL: 944 man Im reluctant to sign up until Im sure that I will have new suspension - its like a big blancmange at the moment!
Just book it Simon [:D] a. You will begrudge paying a higher price for the day if you book later b. It will give you an incentive to get the suspension sorted

ORIGINAL: edh I've just spoken to Colin - he said he's going to give us the 2 garages FOC (He thought he'd already committed to that TBH) Anyway, not much but better than nothing! [:D] I'm at Donington with Javelin on Dec 30th so if we get a few more booked on I might be able to talk him into a bit more...
Ed, I spoke with Edd last night, as he has paid for 2 garages do you think it will be possible to have the 2 from Colin as freebies as well? Even 4 garages won't be enough at this rate [:D][:D]

Excellent Jason, we need some more S2's, cant have these boost boys having all the fun.[:D] We have another 968 too. I was thinking shame I didn't think of doing this for the 944 30th, it would have been an ideal occasion. 1. Copperman 944 S2(booked) 2. Andy Watson 944 S (booked) 3. I think we are waiting for edh to get back with an update from his instructor friend, Javelin also have there own instructors which can be booked on the day. Edd

ORIGINAL: aporschefan Out of interest, how many of those attending have standard/unmodified cars?
Mine isnt but it is down on its best power figures by a chunk and I expect to get through several litres of oil. Tony should say mine is!

just realised it should say mine is! it was back to the low 300's on the liverpool dyno and I don't think the bores are getting any less scored!

And while we are adding excuses - it has sticky tyres but the fronts are only 205, it hasn't moved for over a year, I havent been to Bedford before etc etc. Oh and if anyone overtakes me its cos I have slowed to film them (assuming I can get a bullet cam to work and mount!) [:D][:D][:D]

The GT circuit is very long so they can have a lot of cars on track at once. I have done sessioned days there before with circa 30 on track at a time so an Open pitlane day could potentially allow around 80 cars to book on. Luckily the track is so long it never feels like its busy unless people start bunching up due to poor overtaking etiquette.
