Track Days

I will talk to them at Donington I don't think Peter my instructor friend can make it, Maybe there's a chance to book an instructor through Javelin, but get him booked up in advance?
ORIGINAL: andy watson
ORIGINAL: edh I've just spoken to Colin - he said he's going to give us the 2 garages FOC (He thought he'd already committed to that TBH) Anyway, not much but better than nothing! [:D] I'm at Donington with Javelin on Dec 30th so if we get a few more booked on I might be able to talk him into a bit more...
Ed, I spoke with Edd last night, as he has paid for 2 garages do you think it will be possible to have the 2 from Colin as freebies as well? Even 4 garages won't be enough at this rate [:D][:D]

Luckily the track is so long it never feels like its busy unless people start bunching up due to poor overtaking etiquette.
Or, if Darren from RPM spins his 951. I can confirm that the cars tend to bunch up quite quickly (and with a lot of tyre smoke) when his passenger is staring the wrong way up a straight with his breakfast in his lap.... [&:]

I have booked a garage and am more than happy to come to some sort of arrangement.

I think it would be nice if Javalin could provide all 5 garages for free considering how much business we are pushing their way. We'll see what ed comes up with after Donington. Edd

Damn, I seem to have accidentally booked myself onto a Track Day. I'm sure I have a 944 somewhere in my garage covered in stuff. Ok Sirion over on Tipec has just posted this
I have spoken with the very nice man at Javelin who has agreed to hold the price of £129 if booked BEFORE Jan 1st. Anyone who is interested please pm me for the code when you are ready to book and I will explain how to get the discount. I'm afraid this offer is for forum members only who are booking to drive their Transaxle Porsche on the day (Javelins condition for the discount) The day is open to non forum members of course and any car but I have only been able to negotiate the discount as detailed above.
I am currently speaking with Javelin to try and get PCGB a similar deal, if you are on the TIPEC forum you should be able to get the discount anyway. Edd

If not I'm happy to chip in for a garage. The only problem with the day being 3 months away is that gives my car 3 months to develope a really annoying fault/misfire/oil/coolant leak/hissy fit 1 day before. So I won't tell it.

Colin at Javelin has agreed to freeze the price increase for us. If you want to do this event you can still book at the initial £129 price, just PM me and I'll send you the discount code, this offer is until the 1st January and is for transaxle Porsches only. Edd

It's a fantastic turnout [:D] I have several non-944 owning friends coming along - Ross - E92 M3, Alex - Impreza P1, Nick - MX5, Ted - 996 GT3RS I have been in touch with Peter Empson - his car needs some work but he's hoping to make it, even if he's just spectating / passengering

Looking good for 30 with the engine at the right end, belated anniversary [:)] Edd, that is Stuart Husband the guy we met at Siverstone

Yeah I remember him. We could get 35+ by March. Its good to see people willing to get these cars on track and use as intended, its where they excel imo. Edd
