Track Days

Hi there, I have in the last couple of days acquired a somewhat modified 944 to start doing some track days. Sounds like this one would be just he ticket to pop my cherry so to speak! How do I get hold of the discount code and I'll book it up? Cheers Slodge

Okey dokey I'll send him a PM now and yes it is the RPM one! I don't have any of my own pics yet but link to it on their website is below. I have no prior frontrunner experience to draw upon, but it drives very well indeed!! Look forward to building up some track time in it. Thanks Mark Hasn't quite sunk in yet but seemed like a good idea when Darren from RPM first mentioned it over beers and a curry... The drive sealed the deal. She will be driven on track as often as time allows and hopefully will enable me to learn the appropriate circuit skills! Look forward to meeting you on 25th March. Congrats slodge. Great car. I had my eye on that car for a little while earlier this year. Decided to stick it out with the turbo instead.

Thanks both! It's quite a machine and you probably know has had lashings of mechanical bits thrown at it. Can wait to get out on track! Bring on Bedford!
 
Been speaking to Steve Bennett editor of 911 & Porsche World today to see if they might be interested in doing a feature on our little track day. Nothing is confirmed yet but he seemed positive and said it was something they would certainly consider covering. He even said he could bring his 944 along too, didn't know he had one tbo. After the pretty non-event of the 944 30th I think its good we send out a message to all that the 944 community is alive and as strong as ever, you can ignore us but we certainly wont be going away! Edd
 
Assuming I am still in the fold I'll come along to watch and perhaps take pictures [:)] I can't help but notice on the calendar that Monday 25th of March would also be a "Porsche Night" at the Ace Cafe. It might be nice to combine the two for those from the South and descend on the Ace en mass for a debrief and to analyse racing lines.
 
Hi Edd I subscribe to 911 & PW, and recall his piece about having sold a guards red Lux last year. A more recent article described the purchase of another at Paul Stephens...lots of positive comments in the magazine about the 944, all good for the car's reputation. The man's clearly a real enthusiast. Glad you've made contact...it was on my "do" list!!
