WANTED 944S2

As far as I am aware there are no numbers figures for colours produced, but I believe a UK OPC enquired on behalf of a customer and that is the information they came back with (google search and not my opinion). It is rare though..

Hi all,
Just purchased a tuerkis blue 944 owned by a lady for the last 20 years , 88500 miles. Is it true there are only 8 RhD cars made in this colour.
Many thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,

There were definitely more than 8 ......here's the reg no's of the ones I know of .....

G790LAB
H296YUV
G538WFG
H887POF
G801AUD
H36YYY
G348RHG
H916XYM
H4CHR
G423PWT
H728RWW
H46PBO

None of these tally with your mileage, so it would be interesting if yours is another one of the few. Only two of the above have current MOT's.

Please post pics as it's certainly a rarity, nice colour, low miles, best interior IMHO

Some of those could be repeats though.. for example G790LAB has had more than one reg number. I have a Baltic blue S2 here, it has had three numbers on it, two of which have a G prefix (and one cherished)..and how many of those are actually Tahoe blue which looks the exact same in photographs (but is different in the flesh given a digital camera cant capture turquoise very well)

Only sure way to make an accurate list is to capture the vin's.

It is rare though, that's for sure. The 8 number may be bull**** we will never know, but if you google about, that is what comes up. Such a lovely colour, it beggers belief there are multiple cars in boring colours like Baltic and Zyclaman when cool colours like Tuerkis were available. There were some other cool rare colours too..

Lovely.. not far off the colour your Macan there (which engine did you get - interested to know how the 2.0 drives?). 944 Looks to be in lovely condition. I didn't even see it advertised - but we know many of the best ones don't get advertised.. or did I miss it?

Mine in a previous life was BEX 80Y I have requested info from Porsche at Reading about the numbers in that colour but all i get are replies "sorry i,m out of the office until whenever"
