what did you do to your 944 today

I applied some Turtle Wax Black Box to the offside door and wings. It's a five stage process so really makes your arms ache, but I'm happy with the results...

Thanks Mark for the photos showing the replacement of the boot rubber trim. It was a job that I had been meaning to do for a while now and thought it would entail the removal of the lock itself. Mine was in a much worse condition and it only took about 15 minutes this evening and I'm really pleased with the result. In fact the replacement trim came with the car and I suppose that the previous owner was probably of the same opinion that it was not an easy job.

No problem Keith, I'm glad it inspired you to have a go. It is a very satisfying (& cheap!) job to accomplish.

Actually, not what I did, but what my ferrets did. We have two ferrets that roam the garage (don't ask) and have recently taken to ferreting about (as they do) in the cavity behind the front wheels. The dirt that drops out does not show up well in the photo but it is under the ferret's tail in the picture. So I removed the wheel arch guard to do some cleaning, and under there it was as clean as a whistle. All I need to do now is train them to run up the inside of the sills dragging a rag soaked in Dynax.

PICS! please [:D] Took the roof out of mine for the drive home. A black car in direct sunlight all day sure cools down quickly with no roof [:)]

ORIGINAL: Eldavo That looks very smart indeed, what did you use?
Just an aluminium/black/gold heat resistant generic paint off ebay . I am let to believe that it left the factory something like...

Result !! MoT pass first time with no advisories - another one-year ancient hooligan licence..... I have to say i know my 944 a lot better as a result of this forum and have been able to tidy up the sort of odds and ends that frequently cause MoT failures, plus getting my ferrets to clean out the wing cavities (see earlier post) and spraying Dynax into all obvious cavities. Rock and Roll !!

Do you rent those ferrets out?
