what did you do to your 944 today

Why not do the rear suspension mounts yourself.I did all the rubbers and the mounts and the whole lot cost around £400 for the parts. The expensive bit is the two mounts that go from the top of the torsion bar ass to the body beside the fuel tank.

Replaced the front discs and pads on my S2 at the weekend only about three hours work but well worth it for the pedal feel, better stopping power and lack of warping the original discs had developed after being skimmed and all for less than £140 so well chuffed.

how the hell did you manage that ? My replacement discs cost £140.00 each ! the cheapest pads I could find were £35

My replacement discs cost £140.00 each ! the cheapest pads I could find were £35 [/quote] Sebro discs from Eurocarparts £148ish then they had a 30% discount code (think currently it is 20% pads were from Camskill Mintex standard MDB1456 £20.40, (£25.40 inc delivery) so £138 plus change. Think the trick is to find the equivalent pads in the brake manufacturers catalogue then buy using the code rather than by car and model seems to work for me anyway

removed all the seats today, borrowed my Fathers upholstery cleaning machine and have started to clean the carpets, changed the seat backs so the passenger side is now the drivers side, and first layer of wax, will finish it tomorrow as ran out of materials to clean with. started to detail the engine bay and replaced two pipes which were leaking. Finally Rang Porsche in London where the majority of the servicing has been done according to the book, last service was 3 years ago along with cambelt and chain, not so good news so thats ready to be done, funny really as the seller insisted it was changed 7k ago, except it was 23k ago.. good job I didnt believe him. a good few things came to light though, its had a full engine rebuild by them 23k ago it had a clutch and bearing at the same time, he muttered a price followed by hell that was a lot. but the good news is even though its not entirely stamped, it has got full porsche service history the previous owner had every service on time including the little ones. just need to change the gearbox oil, is the diff fed from the gearbox or is it a seperate entity? James :)

All one reservoir, just make sure you get the filler plug out before taking the drain out. The filler is often harder to remove as the drain is at least immersed in oil!
