what did you do to your 944 today

Get them chemically dipped as Simon says, most alloy wheel places do it before blasting anyway now. Either that or get them blasted by someone with a vapour blaster which leaves a much nicer finish and seals the pores of the metal too. Alasdair

Fitted 2 new seat runner fixing bolts to the passenger side, how can 2 come loose and then disappear from the car? Took her for a nice evening run after a clean, she turned over 163,000 miles whilst out.

Passenger 968 door handle switch now complete along with the 968 wing mirror (shame these need to come off again, don't know what the bodyshop did but the bases are a different colour to the cases) still the window mech haas now had a good greasing too!

I would just like to say that I miss pixie.I haven't had anyone to argue with or shout at the computer about since she went. And you all know how I love a good heated debate as long as it's done in good spirits in a friendly pub debate kind of way.But she really drove me mad, especially when she claimed to be a racing driver........................[:(][:(][:(][:'(][:'(][:-][:-][>:][>:][:)]

ORIGINAL: 944 man She sold the 15" Fuchs on here, before trying to convince everyone that what shed replaced them with was better... I think that what carried it over, for me, was that she lied to you about the cars condition. Anyway, I will try and put the annoying b*tch behind me. They do look nice with gold centres. Have you considered using a chemical cleaner?
I've been using a chemical paint stripper so far...which is still pretty hard work. I like Alasdair's suggestion of getting someone to chemical dip them though. I'll see if I can find somewhere local that can do it for me. The car itself is now in much better condition than it was when I bought it, so for me that's all in the past. Besides, as we discussed at the time, I only blame myself for missing certain things. Obviously It will never be finished, but if I can fix things quicker than other things break then hopefully I'll keep it going in the right direction.[:)]

and second is purchasing a full 3" Magnaflow custom made exhaust system including the turbo downpipe. This will be used to run the new engine in while i save up the pennies for the real exhaust..:) Pete

er... thanks guys Mark... ideal exhaust would be SFR stage 2 header with 3" system, imho 4" although better isn't practical for UK roads, especially for me as I can't get in my road without crossing speed ramps..:( Pete

Surely you should have done your cam tower in red [:D] Looks great in black anyway Peter, what sort of timescale do you think until it's all completed.
