Project Engineer (mech eng) for CAPEX works in manufacturing industries/Technical support to Maintenance and Production departments. Self employed.
 
I am a manager of a builders merchants with over 30 years experience of all building landscaping and plumbing. I kept very busy as builders never plan anything in advance. My real enjoyment is driving and cleaning my 944 s2 convertible
 
Since quitting Brum uni and taking a job at Direct Line i've been trapped in insurance for 10 years! Now i work for the world's largest broker as a Client Exec.
 
Service Supervisor in the Fire Protection industry, looking after guys nationwide doing Fire Hose reels, hydrants, wet and dry risers and kitchen fire suppression equipment but in 27 years I've done all sorts, extinguishers to sprinklers.
 
I work in Mobile Telecoms for myself looking after businesses from one man Sole Traders up to some large Haulage Companies and a few large Plc's Been at it for 17 years and now downsized to try and get a life/work balance and spend time with my 4 year old daughter as much as possible. I'm an optometrist. Been sitting in a little dark room for the last 20 years! I bought my own practice in Swindon 11 years ago and that keeps me more than busy.
 
This post is proving to be more interesting than I had initially thought it would be.We have such a diverse range of skills, obviously not a stereo typical 944 owner after all.
 
Computer Scientist at a University, great relaxed interesting and flexible job. Lucky for me I don't deal with students so have plenty if time to do real work, fanny around on the internet and spend time with family.
 
I`m a fast track office fit-out Project Manager in London. Basically I'm your man when clients forget they need to move 200 people when the lease runs out so expect a £3M fitout in 12 weeks!!! Also a civil engineer and career builder. I do Autobody and Paintwork during the day, mainly bumper scuffs and dings but do take on full Respray's every so often. I also DJ a few nights a week, mainly weddings as that's where the money is! I've also worked in the building game many years back but that's a hard pressed sector in Ireland at the moment! John Daly
 
I work in the lift and escalator business in the City of London - its a bit up and down at the moment. Basically, if its tall and shiny I probably have something to do with it. I'm part owner in a small Express Bodyshop who specialise in repairing small to medium areas of damage to car paintwork with a sameday turnaround. I spend most of my time knelt at the corner of a scuffed bumper or dented wing though occasionally we respray 2-3 panels down the side of a car that has been badly vandalised. Very rarely we also replace entire bumpers and wings if they are beyond all repair.
 
I'm a mechanical engineer and work as a customer services manager for a Danish owned company in the minerals industry. I look after a small department covering aftermarket for rotary kilns used mainly in the pulp and paper industry in Europe and the middle east. Previously i worked as a project manager for upgrade projects in the cement industry for the same company. If you are after spares/engineering modifications for large industrial furnaces or in general just fancy burning stuff, I'm your man.

Jeremy had a red 944 and had a pilots licence. He probably has more than one pair of Randolph Aviators... [:D]
 
I am a systems engineer covering intruder, fire, cctv, door access and automated gates. Previous jobs were, senior technician building gas regulators, a cellar technician and as a Avionics engineer in the airforce etc etc.
