Wheels

By way of contrast, here is my car taken the same day with 18" Cup 2's.

To complete the set of Glacier blue Turbos with big wheels, here's some 18" Cup 3's taken that same day. I did take pics of other cars as well, but obviously the Glacier '44 Turbos were the nicest [:D]

Mmm - got me thinking now. Cup 1's are very good.
Do they come in 18" form? I've never noticed.

Also - is there alot of difference between the Kosher Cup 1 and the Mille Miglia version - I expect weight to be the significant factor.

Cheers

Only Mille Miglia do 18" Cup 1's and 2's I believe.

I was undecided when I bought my 18's whether to go for 1's or 2's. Ultimately my wife said she preferred 2's and they were the only ones in stock so 2's it was. I definitely prefer 17's to be Cup 1's though.

My rear 18's especially are very heavy but I guess that even genuine Porsche wheels will be when the have a 265/35 tyre on them. I think Mille Miglias are a bit heavier than the equivalent genuine rim (where one exists) but only 10%-15% and the tyre is the really heavy bit.

I have a set of genuine 17" Cup 1's now for track work and the 18's will be my bling wheels for the road. I've decided to go that route because I have no doubt that 17" wheels are the best option from the driving point of view.

IMHO the best Porsche wheels ever are the Fuchs alloys colour coded to the bodywork for black, red and white cars - and maybe blue too. The great shame is you can't have them on a late turbo or on an S2 cany you(?).

Not sure how much these would set you back but I rather like BBS wheels. Have a look at this motor owned by one of the guys on Rennlist.

Anybody know what these wheels are?

993 has been suggested to me.

16" rear 9" with 70mm offset (245/45 fitted)

front 7" with 55mm offset (225/50 fitted)

No spacers fitted.

not many cars can pull off "sprayed robbed black" but that 944 really does the job and the wheels "mother" Im just waiting for my little 924 to grow if i feed it regularly do you think it will fit into a size 19 shoe[:D]

You're looking at £2700 for the wheels and tyres.

They are Magnesium though so nice and light!

How much more to modify the wheel arches!!

These are the exact ones I had in mind - I could only ever seem to find a split rim example

I was going to suggest Boxster, but looking at the ones I have in the garage they are like these, which is similar but not the same:

i have got 993 turbo cup3 wheels fitted to my 924s and they look great it's just keeping them clean thats the problem [;)] mind u one which im quite happy to live with

If you have ABS (or ABS offset hubs) then they more than likely will fit.

To be sure we really need to know the width and offset of these new wheels. If they are genuione Porsche wheels they should have these figures stamped either side on the valve hole on the rim.
