944 Register Dyno Day 7th May 2005

Anybody coming from ' up North ' that I can pick up with or even fancies making the long journey less tedious. M6, M5, M40, M4 off memory but Ive yet to check and will need directions, Im booked in for the 10am slot

Cheers

I think you've got a few extra motorways in there Chris.

M6, M42/M40 or M1 I would expect. You certainly don't want to be on the M5.

I really did have a bad day at work yesterday, if I followed my route I would arrive about 10 hours later - cheers Fen the above works for me. M5 where did I pull that from [:)]

I am afraid I am going to have to pull out of the dyno day [:(]as my pride and joy (the little swine) has seen fit to blow it's head gasket and dump it's oil into the cooling system aaahhh!!![] I have contacted Ken Tolfree to come and replace it, but he is unavailable for the next fews weeks so I am afraid I am gonna have to cry off.

Paul I have sent you an email in case you haven't checked your inbox yet, sorry mate.

I would bring the lux but it is on pistonheads and ebay as we speak so I am hoping it will go so I can sort out the turbo.

No worries Dan, and extreme commiserations about the head gasket [:(] I hope Ken gets it going again quickly.

The list at the front of this post has been updated and we have two spare places available at the moment.

Three spaces now available.

I'll be compiling final instructions, a map and directions in the next few hours after I spent some time with Allan at Weltmeister today. It's looking good folks [:D]

I have to say it was a bit noisy at Weltmeister. They are about 100 yards from Bridge corner and there were some pesky F1 cars zooming around today [8D]

I won't hear them while I'm mapping [:D][:D][:D]

Final Details

I've been to see Allan today to double check connections onto the Dyno and these are the final arrangements and a map.

1. At the entrance to Silverstone the guard will direct you to Weltmeister. It's only about 200 yards from the entrance. Turn right at the roundabout and Weltmeister is 100 yards on your left.
2. Allan has secured the key to a locked access road just past his unit. We must all park along it so as not to block the other units in the courtyard. It's shaded red on the map.
3. Allan or I will sign you in as you arrive. Please bring ÂŁ30 cash with you (Allan had some rubber cheques from another club last week, cash only this time )
4. Make sure your car has oil, coolant and the tyres are at the correct pressure (they will be checked before the run)
5. The food van has been arranged and will be inside Allans premises all day so please support him by buying lots of grease [:D]

The full list of names (including early starters) is at the beginning of this thread. See you all from 9am onwards on Sat 7th

Hi Paul

I`m on the first page list but not the one above? [&:][&:][&:]

Can you confirm I`ve got a place please [&o]

Oops sorry Paul. I totally forgot that I had a list in the middle of this thread[&:] I've deleted it now and just kept the accurate list at the very front of this thread.

Yes you have a place [:D]

Paul,
I am sorry to inform you that I will not be able to attend the Dyno Day now as we have sold our house a bit quicker than expected (in 1 day[8|]) and looking to exchange in 28days so my time is required elsewere.

Thanks for arranging things.

Jason

OK Jason thanks for letting me know.

We are down to 32 944 now, so plenty of space left for anyone thinking about coming.

*** EEK! can't get this to format properly with fixed space text ! ***

[FONT=Courier New"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]To help us get the information on the day (like last year), I have made up a spreadsheet for you to enter your data

I have included some examples of the data needed to help you along. Also what can / will be measured on the day. See below;

If you can send me as much information to fill the YOURS column as below, it will help on the day. Any additional comments are also useful, such as do you want to include wheels / tyres / suspension / brakes info as well for completeness (although in no way affecting the dyno results) ?

I'll post this on both Titanic & PCGB, so reply on either.

The more advanced information you can give, the better.

I'm going up to see Allan today to do a 4-wheel alignment and get some mapping done on Turbot, so will be offline most of the day.

Cheers,

Rick.

My apologies for the formatting of the table above - looks nice in excel but not on here.

Just thought, add model year info as well ?

I'll be up with Allan later today to sort the 4 wheel alignment and do some mapping so will be offline for a lot of the day.

Cheers,

Rick.

A link to the spreadsheet for thse of you with excel handy is HERE. You can download it so get a better idea. Forward me your info and I'll start inputting it later.

Cheers

Hi Paul,

I may come along, depending on if I get my interior back together! If there are places left, would it be OK to see on the day if to run or not?

Cheers,
Mike

You sure can Mike. I've added you to the list on page 1 (though I don't know what car) along with another newcomer, so that brings us back up to 34 944 [:D]

Just like to say good luck to you all.

Feeling a little jeleous that you are all there, and I am missing out - was hoping to meet you all.

Anyways, hope it goes well, and see all for next year (baring any other major catastrophies).

I've also just had a thought that I could still be there, if someone could transport my car from Newcastle on a trailer. And re-attach the axle[8D]

I'll console myself with a San Miguel round the pool!

Hope the weathers good for you too[:D]
