I am actually getting worried about the 993 now. I keep getting told that the driving position is bad and now I need to wear small shoes?!?!?
I did do some reading up on the 993 models, and had seen that the right hand drive has an awkward driving position and that the left hand drive ones were much better, so I plan on driving left and right hand drive versions (as at least 50% of my driving will be on the other side of the road) to see what the score is.
But now I will be on the lookout for issues with my feet getting tangled up as well.
Not sure about top gear, I can hardly spell my own name, but then again, that's probably what you mean!
I do keep thinking about the 220 car I drove though, it seems to have really made an impression.. If I was looking for a garage queen to pamper, I think I would have bought it in a second. It was brilliant white, black leather interior and just looked so sharp.
Its styling had something I can not put my finger on, it had the same appeal to me as the old Ford Cosworth RS500's have, just a certain mid 1980's aggressive yet purposeful stance and presence.
Jeremy, I feel for you when your 944 goes, I know exactly what you are saying. Before I left the states my last night with my 996 Turbo I kept looking out at it periodically, almost like I had abandoned a puppy.
Having said that, I also remember having a vauxhall Cavalier SRI when I was young that let me down no end of times, when I sold that I wanted to beat it with a baseball bat before it drove off, just to show it I had the last word. I can fully understand the rock star who shot their detomaso pantera with a shotgun, or how Michael Ryan shot his Astra with an AK47 which kicked off his mad mass murder spree (just to make it clear, my opinion is that shooting an Astra with an AK47 was probably justified, the mass murder was a serious over reaction)
Where did you get that picture?! That is so cool. Whatever cars I buy, I need cool drawings of them!
