991 Owners Cars

Worth the wait - I picked up the car on Saturday and very pleased with the result [:D] Having had the chance to have a couple of runs over the weekend it feels the same but subtly different to my last one. As everyone (including myself) has already said the engine is never going to feel exactly like an N/A, but Porsche has done a pretty good job. Turbo lite as Nick called it [;)].

A few little detail differences for my own amusement, colour coded accents inside and black bits and bobs outside with a sprinkling of carbon and I'm a happy bunny.

Here's a few from the showroom, always tricky to photograph in that environment.

Congratulations Peter and a very nice colour too, but you're going to need a replacement pair of number plates now though (Brexit)!

Very nice in the red especially with the model ID in black & the satin wheels look great. Might be worth a look at the new ones after all.

By the time we extricate ourselves from Europe we'll be on to the next car [;)]

Or the one after that!

Lovely car Peter. I see you have the same fancy wheels as me! Enjoy - Hope we get a chance to meet and compare notes sometime soon

Afternoon all,

I'm thinking of booking the new 911 Endurance Racing Edition - anyone know anything about the car?

Thanks

TJ

It's a new 911 Carrera S Le Mans-style special edition to celebrate Porsche's racing history

The model is available to order now priced at £107,216 and has made its public appearance at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed.

It has sports-focused kit including the Sport Chrono package, twin sports exhaust system and PDCC and rear wheel steering. In addition it has dynamic LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors and a sunroof.

It features livery inspired by the Porsche Team racing cars and is available in either White, Guards Red or Black. It has 20" Carrera S wheels.

Power and torque outputs are as per the standard Carrera S, at 414bhp and 500Nm.

The cabin has black leather and some carbon fibre. There is a sports steering wheel the Porsche crest embossed on the seats, red seatbelts and unique floor mats.

Is there anything else you need? [:)]

Regards,

Google finger working overtime!

The Endurance Racing Edition is currently only being sold in the United Kingdom and Ireland with no word as to how many will be built.

Pricing at £107,216 is however, a whopping £21,359 premium over the standard 911 Carrera S.

Looks lovely Peter, be interested to hear your impressions once the 'bedding in' is complete.

So, pretty much like mine except no sunroof or go faster stripe and I have RS Spyder wheels

Peter

I seem to have missed this, it looks very nice hopefully see it in the flesh soon, you will have to give us a proper owners review once you have got to know the car and its fully run in. I guess the talking point will be NA v Turbo although comparisons of Turbo v GT3 may give us a clue. Look forward to hearing your views.

Geoff
