Anyone waiting for a GTS Allocation ?

It does look like LV.com not ready to insure a new GTS model as yet, likely waiting for underwriting data is my guess. Something to keep checking on.
DirectLine usually good for early release cars I found, but you can only get a quote on the phone as value is >£100K.
Otherwise, as folks said above, Admiral and its derivatives are the cheapest to quote but even they are 3x my 992C2S quote and come in about £750.
I can't get over how cheap my 991.2 Turbo, 540BHP, was to insure! Its been the cheapest insurance for me (ever) and it did better MPG than the 992C2S too!

There seems to be a £100k cut off for a lot of the insurers, which is frustrating. I spent ages on the phone with Direct Line high net worth department and they were one of the worst on offer, nearly £1800 with a £2k excess ! I'm thinking now I'll just slum it with Admiral but pair it up with some good Gap insurance through ALA.

Kind regards,

The Major

I've been quoted £169 to add my imminent GTS to my existing Admiral multicar policy which includes £10 to protect my NCD.

Try NFU - includes 2 year GAP.

Try Manning. Whilst I’m not happy they withdrew their great TrackDays cover they are not limited on car value.

£1491 from Manning and a very meaty excess too []

I'm nearly 60 years old with an unblemished driving history, genuinely staggered at most of these quotes. I did read that there are new insurance rules kicking in from 1st January where they are no longer allowed to charge less for new business so prices are predicted to rise across the board as a result of this new directive. Maybe some of this is coming into play, who knows when it comes to insurance companies.

My 991.2 GT3 in January with Manning was c£950 and DirectLine £936. Garaged, business use, 5k miles, bus pass held for 17 years, low crime area

I’m staggered at some of these quotes. No issue with Admiral and £100k+ valuation. I’ve been pleasantly surprised during my relatively short Porsche ownership period at how inexpensive they are to insure. Definitely worth trying out the household names. My experience of the specialists is that they’re very expensive.

Same experience for me @Pokhara, all the specialist and club discounted insurers are all much more expensive for me, but I don't track my cars - so maybe if you do that, the combined packages start to look like a good deal [8|]

Out of curiosity, I went back into Compare The Meerkat earlier and changed the car to a very late 991.2 GTS with a £105k valuation. Lo and behold, 14 quotes came back in the £200 range with Esure being the cheapest at £232 with no tracker required.

That's a pretty staggering contrast between the 991 GTS and the 992 GTS !

Kind regards,

The Major

I see PTS is available now on the configurator. I was struggling deciding on colour with the standard options without this.

Congratulations and welcome to the black brake caliper club ! Great choice. Car looks ace.

I’m assuming (by a process of elimination) that’s Shark Blue ? Looks darker than normal in your picture.

Very nice. I’ve also gone for black callipers. They look great with the blue. Enjoy…………
