Bid high already imo for a comfort, not sure why people pump the price up with 6 days to go. some of these cars sell at daft money, great platform for sellers. Looking back I wish I sold 3 cars I had on there.

Couple of dealers come in early with high bids perhaps to scare other bidders off, although can’t see them going much higher with their bids so the auction will stagnate until the last day!

Ihmo can’t see it exceeding £70k plus fees

I wonder if it will be back again (unless sold to private bidder)in the near future as I noticed a lot of interest from a couple of dealers one of whom had a 718 gt4 up for auction recently that never sold/ or pulled not sure which as didn’t follow to the end and it’s not on the sold list? Having some concerns with the level of game playing on this auction platform?

I really struggle to understand why when a car is as good as the Spyder (whichever generation) they don't get driven. These cars are averaging 1500 miles a year, talk about garage queens. The Spyder is probably the best value for money car Porsche make, I had a GT4 before buying my Spyder last November and the Spyder adds that extra factor that only an open car can, these are fantastic cars, please please drive them mine had just short of 2k when I bought it at 2 years old it now has just short of 10k and is off to the Loire later this month. Enjoy them !! I have a new Porsche incoming later in the year and I'm struggling to find a way to keep this rather than PX as it is so good. Oh for a Euro millions win.

Rant over. :ROFLMAO:

718 Spyders great car for use and fun, wha tare you swapping it for ? I cannot think of a Porsche to replace it ?

No bids thus far ...that one must be the lowest miles by far .. haven't a clue as to what it will achieve mid 70s .

I don't understand that either. Don't get me wrong, it's a special car, but it's not an F40 or a Carrera GT. Just drive it! Furthermore, I don't understand the fear of buying a high-mileage Spyder/GT4. There were a few 981 Spyders for sale with 20k miles on them some months back (I remember some in yellow, one in red and one in blue) all for around the 68k-72k mark. Personally, I would much rather jump on one of those and drive them to their death than have them sit around.

Perhaps I might just do that in a few years when a yellow one for a good price pops up again!

Would not the lightweight analogue be the 987 Spyder?
AGREED but it was not included in this test review so the next light weight and more analogue Spyder version on the day in the family was the 981[;)]
