Somewhere on here, Prof flat6 probably knows where, there is a back to back track comparisom between the R & Spyder and like you say the Spyder came out quicker and better of the two [8D]ORIGINAL: MrDemon PDK has no place in these cars, end ofbeen about 1.5 years since I have been in a Cayman R now, the rear ATB is stiffer and so the car it more tail happy, imo the Spyders a faster and easier car to drive, just seems better balanced. going stiffer all the time cannot be a good thing and just leads to snap over steer and poor wet traction, of which in the UK we have often.

I've only done a short run in a Cayman R. Felt more softly sprung. Could that be to compensate the extra stiffness / stiffer ATB? Spyder felt more planted somehow. Daro. All the videos and articles are in amongst the pics on page 38, the Spyder encyclopedia page[] http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=719756&mpage=38 The one your referring to is this one. http://www.excellence-mag.com/issues/196/articles/open-and-shut-case-track-test#.UEznTbJlQl8ORIGINAL: MrDemonbeen about 1.5 years since I have been in a Cayman R now, the rear ATB is stiffer and so the car it more tail happy, imo the Spyders a faster and easier car to drive, just seems better balanced. going stiffer all the time cannot be a good thing and just leads to snap over steer and poor wet traction, of which in the UK we have often.
Prof flat6 good original work by you and recalled impeccably [8D] "the Boxster Spyder and Cayman R are both rewarding to drive, but the Spyder felt better and was faster at the limit." The fact that both shine on a go-kart track only highlights their abilities and range.ORIGINAL: flat6I've only done a short run in a Cayman R. Felt more softly sprung. Morning Guys, Recently spoke to local OPC who cannot get enough (any) Spyders and any they get are soon snapped up; got the impression the dealer network is cottoning on to the gem that is the Spyder. Enjoy Sunday looks like a Spyder day !
Hi Andrew great info and as our friends from the otherside of the pond, along with certain F1 drivers, love to say "Thats what I'm talking about Yes" Enjoy your SpIder too even if it is spelt the Italian way [link=http://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&frm=1&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&docid=qbXfhxKmb3oK7M&tbnid=7q6xJdk5dATztM:&ved=0CAUQjRw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fripley.za.net%2Ftag%2Fdjokovic&ei=c8BzUdTfEOjK0QWbw4CwBA&bvm=bv.45512109,d.d2k&psig=AFQjCNGmzuUS1NKaJB_c8_R0GytXQBO-4w&ust=1366626786546779]ORIGINAL: Andrew Killington Morning Guys, Recently spoke to local OPC who cannot get enough (any) Spyders and any they get are soon snapped up; got the impression the dealer network is cottoning on to the gem that is the Spyder. Ah!the good old Man Bra still use one today [][]. would consider fitting one if available for the 987 for long motorway journeys as have already picked up a few in a short space of time[] I like the look of the grills and would consider fitting them any idea as to the suppliers and how easy a job to fit given my lack of DIY skills .the rads are very vulnerable looking on the Spyder ,certainly easy to get your hand in and clear out debris . . My car is currently in my neighbour's amazing garage as we have some building work going on at home. To get it ready for the weekend, I gave it a quick detail yesterday morning with Zymol Field Glaze which seemed to be a really good product but I have to say the car is suffering with quite a few stone chips already. I need to spend some time touching them in I think. OCD strikes again... []
Rob I have used this kit quite successfully but the brilliant microbrushes can also be bought on ebay for a lot less money [link=http://www.chipex.co.uk/?gclid=CPi6rtXn3rYCFTMdtAodak4AZA]http://www.chipex.co.uk/?gclid=CPi6rtXn3rYCFTMdtAodak4AZA[/link] Microbrushes - [link=http://www.chipex.co.uk/?gclid=CPi6rtXn3rYCFTMdtAodak4AZA]http://www.chipex.co.uk/?gclid=CPi6rtXn3rYCFTMdtAodak4AZA[/link]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock My car is currently in my neighbour's amazing garage as we have some building work going on at home. Video looks quite impressive. How much do you need - are their size guidelines about right?
The website guidelines are the minimum possible so the mid size option will last forever and a day easilyORIGINAL: rob.kellock Video looks quite impressive. How much do you need - are their size guidelines about right?
So if you buy a 991 in new Racing Yellow they still paint the ceramic brake calipers in old Speed yellow? Clash of the titans! Those yellow wheels are not for me either but each to their own and all that...
