My tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 and only done 2600 light driving [;)] When i got a new set of tyres on my 987 it ran on Continental Conti Sport and even at my level of driving the Michelins seem better grip it could be down to the set up on the car as well . At the time of changing the tyres i got the wheels re aligned and what a difference to the handling .If i go down this route would you advise switching the wheels around ,as i believe the tyres are not directional.. Mr D was it alignment or geo and excuse my ignorance what is the difference i think i payed around £60 at the time . Brian

OK Brian, we are going to help you to post a pic before the end of this page[:)] You've done the hard part. You have managed to put in the link to your pic which is the gobbledy-gook that is: http://thumbsnap.com/s/6v7W76TO.jpg So, when you have that, all you need to do is type something in front of that gobbledy-gook and something after it. Put your cursor in front of it and with no gaps, type
Note that what goes on each end is slightly different. The latter includes a / as well So you end up with
That's it [;)] Let me know at which point to get stuck.

alignment or geo is the same thing, Porsche use the beissbarth machine with the Porsche hub fitment, so none of this trying to line up on the wheels or setting a geo with a bent wheel. their charge is £120 inc vat but they don't do bespoke settings, I am ok with my OPC and told them what I would like, so they did that for me. (I guess some might only do factory settings) The PS2 is the best N spec tyre no question, I have those on my Spyder atm and they are far better than the P zero on my R.

yes thats ok for thumbsnap but how do you load directly from photos in ones picture library?

I think Spyderwhite and I must have been off school that day when they where showing how to do it [:D][:D][:D] For some reason it depends if i use Google Chrome or Fire Fox some applications don't work even receiving items .Anyway we have you teckies to do it for us [;)]

That can be done but it is better to have a thumbsnap or flickr account etc and upload pictures from your library to there, and then link them into your post from thumbsnap/flickr. When you upload them to the forum server (which i've never tried) they only come out as as a small thumbnail which the reader then has to click on and effectively download it to view it, rather than view it directly on the page. Also, uploading pictures takes up space on the forum server and with our mammoth thread, that'd probably get us shut down for overloading the server space[:D]. Linking in a picture from the Internet takes up no space on the server as the picture is being presented to the viewer from the source rather than from the forum's server. Here's a thread that shows you what it looks like if you choose to upload them (and a chance to have a look at a very nice car at the same time [:)] ) Scroll halfway down to see the thumbnail images http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=768831&mpage=1

Crikey, another rare find, as in the colour. Despite the wheels, whomever wants red cannot afford to hang about and should worry about addressing the wheels later. Personally I wouldn't let colour be at the top of my list but I can understand those that do.

Was not this spec Dyllan was looking for?[:)]

When it's 5k for a set of Spyder wheels that car is very expensive. But Oz 's are very nice wheels for 1.5k I guess. I had OZ on my last car , great wheels. Not a fan of red dials either :-( Personal choice I hate the sport design wheels and I sold mine which came on my last cayman for about £800. So they don't go for much towards a set of Spyder wheels. I pushed the button on the race maxx tyres today :). Not cheap ....

Not just the wheels what about the seats and the gears [:D][:D][:D] i really hope it sells at that price [:)]
[:D][:D] Red is so rare like acqa blue and that one sold at a good price I think. That had PDK but some people want a colour above all else[:)] Like in a chat I had with an OPC salesman yesterday, they do find that some people just cannot work with bucket seats e.g. they are uncompromising if they simply don't fit your width. So, the car may be perfect for someone, well except for the wheels[;)]

Thank you for thinking of me john!! Very nearly right spec though red is not my first choice [:D] Gears and steering wheel spot on for me and I could even live with dials and lack of xenons as I know I will have to compromise on some things if I am ever to become a spyderman!!! However I HATE those wheels and yes that would mean £44k when proper wheels are included and I a am afraid thats more than I am prepared to pay The hunt goes on !!
