Approximately 1cm but on the Mini they are flush so a shorter stem tyre valve would fix that small overhang but unless I was changing tyres I am not bothered

Just been away for a couple of days so some catching up to do. Also noticed we are on Page 199 - Who is going to get the honour to take us to Page 200?[&:] Daro or Flat 6 I would suggest.

Guys - I've been away a long time too. Been speed reading a few threads, but new job/gardening leave negotiation has meant I've been pre-occupied post holiday. Anyway, lots been happening!! Looks we have some new owners which is great news. Congrats to the new Spydermen from a relative newbie! I've also managed to find a new owner myself. Do you remember that great spec white Spyder at Bristol OPC which recently sold? I met the owner at my local supermarket! ... ... He lives 2 mins away from me LOL. What are the chances. We're catching up properly tomorrow!

Welcome back guys and whilst you have been away we have been busy keeping the forum[:D] alive and kicking [;)] Look forward to any views you have to make when you have read through the 199 pages

ORIGINAL: MrDemon Is there any way to get infield parking for the Silverstone event, ? I was going to go with a race team, but now my options have run out and now can only get normal tickets. I will ask my OPC Monday see if they can pull any strings, but it seems doubtful now for club infield parking.
Mr D This is the first year The Classic have not sold tickets on the gate - when they did they were around £60.00 for just one day! Advance tickets if purchased early could be as cheap as £18 per day. I don't understand the reasoning behind not selling on the day.[&:] The following post seems to be final http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=775574&mpage=1&key=&#775574 You could try a Wanted on the forum[;)] - with over 1000 cars on the parade lap and probably almost as many in the Club allocated area some will not be able to turn up and will want to unload tickets on the forum.

ORIGINAL: MrDemon Your wheels are far to clean :)
There is no such thing as too clean in my world and want to stay as light as possible in a critical area like the wheels [:D] You should have seen the chrome wires & white walls on my 73 V12 E Type back in the day .... like mirrors

So just goes to prove the best time to buy/sell a Spyder is any time other than the summer [:D] I bought mine 27th January and took delivery 1st February 2011 and suffering with flu I never took a picture of her coming out of the enclosed transporter[&o]

The edited list now looks like this:

A couple of price reductions for the eagle eyed...

Hi all.... I have just joined the club...I bought the one off the Autotrader with 3,000 miles. White, PDK, Sports Chrono, Buckets, Spyder wheels, PSE,PCM, Climate (heavy - but I wanted all the bits!). Its a fantastic drive really impressed! - Great fun!!! The sport plus mode is quite aggressive isn't it!! I love it! Are there any meets coming up - would love to come say hello? One question - what is the 0-60 time for the Spyder? Early in the first pages of this thread, someone states 4.4secs... but that surprised me...is it right? Simon

Hi Simon and welcome on board our Spyders Web [;)] There are a few of us meeting up at Silverstone Classic Weekend 27/28th July if that's within travelling distance for you 0-60 time (when did you last actually do 0-60 [:D]) 4.2 secs according to these guys http://www.zeroto60times.com/Porsche-0-60-mph-Times.html

Thanks for the welcome - I was hoping to make the Classic, but family plans got in the way sadly - never mind - will keep my eyes open and hope to meet up at the next event. Will definitely be at Wings and Wheels in August. I amazed at 2 things - just how much fun the Spyder is - it really is surprising - goes like a little rocket! the 2nd thing is just how big this thread is...amazing!

Not only is it so much fun and so rare to see another on the streets, even in London! but amazing value for money too[;)] Some more stats that might interest you http://fastestlaps.com/cars/porsche_boxster_spyder.html http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mj59/features/powerlaps New page coming up any post now so be first and post some pictures of your new pride and joy

Congrats and welcome Siy[:)] Some like it heavy. Nothing wrong with that - we've debated that on here a few times[;)] Keep pushing more and more through the corners and continue to enjoy! What car are you coming from and how does it compare? 0-60 times tend to be used in the US collateral. So, from the 2 sites below, the official times are 4.9s for manual transmission, 4.7s for PDK and 4.6s for PDK using Launch Control. Porsche's figures are usually conservative (whereas some other manufacturer's figures are overly optimistic & have proved hard to replicate), so you may find sites that have done real tests and may achieve quicker times. I've never timed it myself. http://www.porsche.com/microsite/boxster-spyder/usa.aspx http://press.porsche.com/news/release.php?id=506 Do post up your spec and some pics[;)]

Welcome to the new Spydermen..just back from the OPC getting my service interval memory reset as it came on some 70 days early ,First service not due till Sept 13 .When in had a look around and there was a stunning Riviera Blue 2.7 sitting £37.400 base and this one weighed in at £55.600 .The new Silver on the wheels was stunning much nicer than the Spyder Silver .Rob would have had a fit locking wheel nuts not lining up with crest to valve on a good number of the car[:'(]s

Brian could you be tempted to go shiny new silver finish Any pictures of the Riviera Blue My local OPC has a Guards Red 981 S with a price tag of just under £66000!

Thanks - Spec is White, PDK (am a manual car fanatic, but was happy to go PDK for this car... and am actually pleased I did!)... , sound plus, bucket seats, sports chrono plus, PSE, PCM, Climate, Porsche warranty , Spyder wheels I think I am posting a pic up here... (never sure if it will work or not!)... but it is not yet complete. I have sent the wheels to Chris at Excel, to be powder coated in RS Weiss Gold... the RS2 gold colour... they should be back weds/thurs so will post proper pics then. I came from a Ferrari F430 Spyder - simply awesome. Just fancied a change and been wanting one of these for a couple of years now... and am really pleased I did... before that AMV* Roadster, and prior to that a gen I and Gen II 997 C4S cab. Might be just my imagination - but the Spyder feels fatser than my C4s cabs...?
