On a more positive note, it's great to see Stuartelec on here! We're practically neighbours and its a wonderful to know that 1% of the UKs Spyder's are based in our town. Also took my car in to improve the radio reception and Bristol OPC were kind enough to lend me a 991 C4 PDK. Conclusions vs the Spyder? V impressive. Ultra fast, amazing grip, surprisingly sharp turn in (much more agile than 997) & didn't feel like a 4wd car until pushed hard.... But it just didn't tug at heart strings for me. PDK exceeded my expectations. For what it is, its simply brilliant, but 3 pedals every time when it comes to driver involvement and fun. 991 was the Perfect DD car though. But jumping back into the Spyder was a revelation! ![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)

Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Interesting that you can jump out of the latest £90k +++ 911 back into a car costing well under 1/2 the price and still have as much fun if not more[8D] My local OPC sales person said if he was buying a Spyder or any 987 it would have to be manual but if he was buying any 981 it would have to be a PDK! not a fan of the extended Porsche sticker to the rear wing! does seem cheap thoughORIGINAL: jdpef356 Good spec light weight with just 1500miles in Black http://ucl.porsche.de/ucl/plsql/uk/clients.show_car?sid_=41691133JUHF6RDQ05X1OQYTUN9EKW6&pnr_=1&lnr_=1&caller_= Doubt it will be on the market for long!
Very low miles and a 2011 registration all for same money as 2010 cars with 20 times the mileage! Read the spec and perhaps that is the reason why[&o] It's now so much what it has got but more a case of what it hasn't got for most buyers unless you want a very stripped down bare knuckle fighter example [*]19-inch Boxster Spyder Wheel [*]6-speed manual transmission [*]CDR-30 Audio System [*]Deletion of model designation [ul][/ul] [*]Sound Package Plus including CD storage [*]Sports Bucket Seats [ul][/ul]

thinking about it the time you add in pse, short shift and chrono you are up to over £40k.so spec apart from the obvious seats/wheels is key ie pse etc.and I would add to that pcm for a top price
Most people I would imagine would want aircon too [&o]ORIGINAL: spyderwhite thinking about it the time you add in pse, short shift and chrono you are up to over £40k.so spec apart from the obvious seats/wheels is key ie pse etc.and I would add to that pcm for a top price
The weather due to change so why not add a Hardtop?[ORIGINAL: daro911Most people I would imagine would want aircon too [&o]ORIGINAL: spyderwhite thinking about it the time you add in pse, short shift and chrono you are up to over £40k.so spec apart from the obvious seats/wheels is key ie pse etc.and I would add to that pcm for a top price
Front and rear - don't like either!! Is the only option box ticked on that car the stereo? Aircon was a boon for me this week. Just cruised up to Scotland - 2 1/2 hours at 30mpg, roof down, Aircon up! Worst thing about a Spyder on the motorway in this weather is people overtaking slowly or, indeed, circling to take pictures with their phones. Poor sods flying past in a new 530d had their day spoiled 5 miles up the road by one of those Volvo estates with the stripy sides and the blue lights... glad I took it steady, have been caught out by lovely empty motorways in Scotland before and over zealous camera bastards!!ORIGINAL: spyderwhite not a fan of the extended Porsche sticker to the rear wing! does seem cheap though
No need for a hardtop here!!

I guess it was only a matter of time. I'm not Asian but i'm sure if someone tries hard enough they will find something to prick me too. The Porsche Club GB is massive and any prejudicial comment is bound to cause offence to at least one member and undoubtedly more.ORIGINAL: GeeForceAnd this MrD ... is prob an example of why you have so many forum haters across multiple forums. I do wonder if your issues with Ford were down to your attitude rather than anything else. Laws of attraction Mr D. Just sayin' (p.s. I'm Asian ... And I hate red leather and not a fan of auto gears on sports cars)ORIGINAL: MrDemon Some Asian will buy it. They love white and red with auto gears.
Am at a lovely hotel outside Strathaven with MrsK for a romantic getaway with the benefit of an air conditioned room! Dinner shortly, beers in the sunshine a welcome diversion!!
Your only problem is that you are too slow on track, as demonstrated at Anglesey and Oulton Park... ... But too bloody fast on the twisties, as demonstrated at the Evo Triangle (you git) when you left me behindORIGINAL: flat6 I guess it was only a matter of time. On a side note, does anyone know when the last Blue Spyder was up for sale? Saw a picture of one on here and it looked great. Just curious to how many were sold in the UK.
It's 1150 miles & bucket seats might sell it. Also if this is their starting price then someone might get into a nearly new car for the same as some of the others for sale. But it should be insured for more should it not?ORIGINAL: spyderwhitenot a fan of the extended Porsche sticker to the rear wing! does seem cheap thoughORIGINAL: jdpef356 Good spec light weight with just 1500miles in Black http://ucl.porsche.de/ucl/plsql/uk/clients.show_car?sid_=41691133JUHF6RDQ05X1OQYTUN9EKW6&pnr_=1&lnr_=1&caller_= Doubt it will be on the market for long!
With that stripe conversion and the price being asked it looks like an S.O.R. deal to me why else would an OPC leave the customising on the car when it obviously adds nothing to the resale at all[&o]ORIGINAL: flat6It's 1150 miles & bucket seats might sell it.
