Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

I think you're right, with all the painted bits being a bit too much against the red. I haven't seen a red & white combination in the metal but can it be the camera that makes it look particularly garish?ORIGINAL: jdpef356So we have often played the game 'Which one will sell first?' Now I slight variation. Which one will sell Last?[&:] The Ridgeway car would be my guess with the terrible colour combo White/Red Interior, and all the wrong bits!ORIGINAL: flat6The 3 remaining OPC cars show that age has little relevance. The cheapest car is almost a year newer than the other 2 and has much less miles. I can only assume they're not getting many enquiries about it, hence the £3K price drop. Why? My guess is because it doesn't have any spec items that would make someone rush out and buy it rather than wait to see what else comes to market. It doesn't have PSE or buckets. Not saying everyone wants those. But nor does it have something else that might make someone forego other items they have on their 'must have' list. Nor does it have PDK for someone who wants that above all else. I'd say the only thing it has that might make someone rush on it now is its new price, which is competitive for a car with its low miles and 2yr warranty. Will London's 20k miler now be the one left 'til last? Who knowsORIGINAL: rob.kellock Updated list! Leeds car has had a big reduction on OPC website but still at original price on other sites.ORIGINAL: rob.kellock So that leaves OPC cars as follows: (all cars should be manual, Spyder alloys and bucket seats unless stated otherwise) East London - White - 04/10 - 20k miles - PDK - £37980 Byfleet - Silver - 03/10 - 14k miles - heated seats - £36995 Leeds - Black - 07/11 - 10k miles - heated seats - £36500 Pistonheads adds: Shirleys - Black - 2011 - 10k miles - PDK/turbo alloys - £39995 private - White - 2010 - 22k miles - £33900 Autotrader adds: Ridgeway - White - 2011 - 7k miles - wheels / "that" interior - £39990 Icon - White - 2011 - 7k miles - PDK / seats - £37500 Cameron - White - 2010 - 10k miles - £36990 Yorkshire Classic - White - 2010 - 5k miles - sports seats - £38995 Brian adds: Border Cars - Silver - 2011 - 10k miles - £38000 This gives 10 cars advertised for sale via the most obvious sources. The average used Spyder has an asking price of £37684 with a mileage of 11500.
Best thing there!! Peugeot 205 GTi looks nice but jury's out on some of the others! Hope you won. Flat6, don't worry, they all came straight off. Thank goodness.ORIGINAL: kitchens http://www.flickr.com/photos/oobster/9337502432/in/set-72157634736676800/lightbox/ One of my car at the show i was at today that's me in the Porsche shirt with my back to the camera ..my best side []
Good to see you're giving the Spyder plenty of exposure[] I was out with R5 today on a 40 mile very scenic drive and then a great restaurant meal. The Spyder was the only car there that was 'off the beaten track', so to speak, and it got plenty of attention and I got talking to a lot of nice people I hadn't met before[] As I think Daro once said, if you take a Spyder to a club event, expect to be talking to people all day[]ORIGINAL: kitchens http://www.flickr.com/photos/oobster/9337502432/in/set-72157634736676800/lightbox/ One of my car at the show i was at today that's me in the Porsche shirt with my back to the camera ..my best side []
Agree about getting back to being 'car guys'. Point made - CASE CLOSED. Haven't heard the Borla, but one thing I did notice about the non-PSE 991 I borrowed vs my old Gen1 Cayman S with Carnewal mufflers & my Spyder with PSE (unplugged) was the volume of noise. Porsche have really upped the aural sensation with their later cars I have to say. I know we can get a sports manifold from Gert/Carnewal, but wondered if anyone has tried the following: http://www.planet-9.com/reviews/cayman-performance-modifications/p104-stock-cayman-s-exhaust-exhaust.html I'm not expecting miracles, but would be interested to hear of anyone's experiences.ORIGINAL: daro911 Back to being friendly "car guys"Â has anyone without a PSE ever considered going with this great looking piece of kitÂ
It is certainly loud, but the boom between 2 & 3 thousand revs is awful. The method shown in the pictures further down, where they have cut a slot, would probably reduce the drone. I would imagine drilling a hole would increase the noise too and if you don't like it then you can just slip the sleeve back over. I know somebody who has tried this with good results!
