Hi and welcome to the thread/forum[ORIGINAL: Big E Hi all New Spyder owner here. The guys on the Porsche forum on Pistonheads pointed me in the direction of this rather epic thread! Spec: PDK Sports Chrono Sports Exhaust Carbon seats Air con Stereo Bought from Porsche East London a few weeks back. Really enjoying the car and coming from a V8 M3 it feels very direct and the difference in weight is apparent. Lacks a bit of straight line grunt over 70mph but well worth that trade off for the cornering ability.![]()

Thanks daro, I really like the carbon buckets and they're surprisingly comfy. Mrs Big E has already commented she'll be taking an extra cushion on our next Euro road trip as she doesn't think there's enough padding....even with her ass..... (I didn't mention that to her!) I must admit the Spyder seems to get a positive reaction wherever I go, even had flashes and waves form Lotus drivers!ORIGINAL: daro911 Hi and welcome to the thread/forum[] Â I sat in your car as I work 1 mile from East London OPC and wanted to refresh my memory on the carbon buckets .. nice car by the way[
] Â V8 M3 is a very different machine indeed but the thrills of open motoring are worth the slight loss in grunt IMO[8D]Â
It's the only Porsche in recent times that seems to cause no offence and a lot of positive interest from all walks of life. I have had white van man stop to chat about it and a concours condition Aston Martin DB4 owner who wanted to know if it was the Carrera GT [ORIGINAL: Big EThanks daro, I really like the carbon buckets and they're surprisingly comfy. I think there are plenty of ex Lotus and Caterham owners who have Spyders. It's like a "grown up" Elise and the roof isn't an issue! Congrats on the purchase.ORIGINAL: Big EThanks daro, I really like the carbon buckets and they're surprisingly comfy. Someones been playing with the door lock on that near Spyder [8|]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Disappointed I didn't get to see Cecil this afternoon, not just as 3 Spyders were at the Oulton Park Gold Cup. Despite all the exotica, my Spyder seemed to attract a disproportionate amount of attention all day.![]()
The Cayman has good proportions IMO Then the Cayman R adds an extra cool factor. Car looks good mate[ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan Some better pics of the R as promised https://www.icloud.com/photostream/#A9JtdOXmJrHE6g
