Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

ORIGINAL: flat6 The 991 Turbo S is quicker around the Nordschleife than the new GT3 and the old GT3 RS 4.0. So, you can have your cake AND eat it? http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/290716/porsche_911_turbo_s_review_price_and_specs.html
I think I'd much rather have a GT3 than a turbo; the fact that it's considerably cheaper would be the icing on the cake!

Just catching up after a few days away, love the mirrors Siy, was thinking of doing this to mine in silver now after seeing what yours looks like I will definitely be getting mine done. Spyder now up to standard after some severe removal of swirl marks and minor scratches which IMO always show up worse on black cars. see below if I am successful in loading them up Kenny spyder

Stealth Spyder looking good and swirl free there! Probably the best feature of the white paint is its ability to mask minor swirls. I have only ever used Zymol products and microfibre cloths on mine but in bright sunlight the dreaded swirls are still starting to appear in places. Black on black Spyder badge is nice and subtle too.

Just did my wheels with the Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel cleaner. The results speak for themselves:- Very pleased with that [:D]

Hope you cleaned off the old wheel weights?! I like the dealer OEM silver weights might get them to put my new rubber on!

The "new Spyder" what do you think? http://youtu.be/qlBUB9RqY_I That V8 kicking in when you put your foot down would wake you up!

Amazing car, well ahead of its main rivals as far as performance and technology, I was told last week that Edinburgh OPC has sold one of the first coming into the country, just waiting on delivery early next year, £900K+ !!!! Kenny Spyder

"Amazing car, well ahead of its main rivals as far as performance and technology" ? Have you not seen the P1 or the la Ferrari. How is the 918 well ahead of those main rivals in performance and technology ? Nice car , but a strange statement to make and is prob last out of those 3 in both those items.

Had the Spyder's performance abilities re-calibrated this afternoon. My word, the McLaren is quick. I've been alongside a 997 turbo trying to show me who's the Daddy but this thing was in a different league. Sadly (for me), its driver was up for much more fun than my Mrs was in my passenger seat... "Rob, stop it" etc.

Hi Kenny The 918 faces a stiff challenge from the Mclaren P1 and LaFerrari. In the numbers game it may only appeal to Porschefiles. It has less power & more weight and whilst the figures in the following article are pre-launch (after which its power was increased in response to the other 2) it would still look to be trailing in their wake in a 0 to 124mph dash. Worth a read to see how they stack up against each other. http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/mclaren-p1/mclaren-p1-v-laferrari-v-porsche-918 Still, it's worth watching this video of Chris Harris getting to drive one and his thoughts. Still a great car in it's own right and who knows which one is the best to drive but it'll come down to whether the 918 puts the systems comprising its extra weight to some advantage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu_GezgxQ4o&sns=em
