Back to the Weiss gold stripes, how about a stripe that is the inverse of current. Weiss gold where it would be sticker and visa versa?! I think it needs the stripe in Wiess either way, looks a little unfinished without. Sounds like £50ish to do and £50 to revert so a £100 experiment, you could try one side first and live with it for a week while you decide.

Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Still with pretty horrid steering I am afraid. I doubt they have ever sold a 981 with sports chassis.ORIGINAL: daro911So where does that leave the 981 Boxster / Cayman with sport chassis[&o]ORIGINAL: MrDemon to soft off, to hard on with PASM then on track to soft on. What makes the Spyder and R what they are is the bespoke tuned shocks and spring rates. they both feel great, and of course less to go wrong.
Not as bad as some I have seen added but best left here IMHO[]ORIGINAL: daro911Interesting to see Fuchs using a Porsche Spyder to show off their classic wheel design http://www.fuchsfelge.de/index.php?id=451&L=1
I was at the OPC in Chester this morning and a white Spyder pulled in. Thought it may have been one of you guys but didn't recognize the number.
I think they worked well in 2011 too []ORIGINAL: jdpef356 Not as bad as some I have seen added but best left here IMHO[]
What do you think of the sports exhaust? I think you'd like the short shifter - something to consider... A bit of pub quiz trivia or bragging rights for you - Bose was not available on the Spyder, only on the R.ORIGINAL: Andy FaganYes as in I don't have another *car* but I don't use it every day. I tend to use my van for just nipping to shops etc as I don't like to do lots of short runs from cold. I only did about 5k per year in my Boxster.ORIGINAL: flat6You got very close to your list. Is it your daily driver aside from your work vehicle?ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan I suppose it counts the same on a CR so my list of options were:- Must Haves 6 speed manual A/C Buckets Would like to haves were PCM/Sat Nav Sports Chrono Bi Xenons Extended leather Sports exhaust Cruise control Bose system Bluetooth Silver paint What I got:- 6 speed manual A/C Buckets PCM Sports Chrono Sports exhaust Bose system Bluetooth Cup Holders Reverse sensors Carrera White (Which I'm glad about now) Black painted Spyder alloys Aux audio input thingy I knew I wouldn't get a car with everything I wanted but I got most, and I'm having Cruise retro fitted on Thursday for £234 plus £85 labour which seems a bargain at OPC prices.
Yes but I wouldl like to point out that the top sound system on either car is PSE![][]ORIGINAL: flat6What do you think of the sports exhaust? Good point []ORIGINAL: jdpef356 Yes but I wouldl like to point out that the top sound system on either car is PSE![][]
I had Bose in the Cayman and the Sound Package plus in the Spyder and I was surprised how close they are. Apart from perhaps some loss of low frequency thump through absence of the sub-woofer that comes with the Bose system, i've found it just as satisfactory. There is a lot of bass from the SPP and without trying them side by side, I couldn't actually define the difference. Trouble is, I gave up the Cayman over a week before picking up the Spyder so not really a comparison as my ears don't have memory[]. No doubt if I tried them both I could tell, but it's close enough that I don't feel too short-changed without it. Will see when I get my next car, if it has Bose[]
Spydermen PSE is the only soundtrack[8D]ORIGINAL: Siy yup that's the one - Sound Package Plus... Its not exactly audiophile - save that for the home - but its plenty good enough for the car....anyway - as above PSE is the best soundtrack!!!
But it all starts here Brian - This is Mum and Dad[][]ORIGINAL: kitchens I see they haven't started to build mine yet !![] Theirs more pork there than in a abattoir[][]
