Decisions decisions[] You could do with a short-list that is based on certain criteria you want fulfil with the car. You could do with eliminating one of either the Spyder and 981 and then one of either the 997TT and 991S and then weigh up the remaining 2, but still those 2 will be vastly different. There is a black OPC spyder on the market. Why are you not "VERY tempted!!"?[]ORIGINAL: dyllan The dilemma between a 981 would be the 997TT gen 2 pdk now starting around £70k which seems good value . I do really like a soft top though and certainly wouldn't go the 991 cab route currently as I don't think it's worth the premium over the 981 . We will see what's out there in the spring when I have more idea of how many pennies will be left after the Poole build finishes . If a nice black spyder came back on the market I would still be VERY tempted!! And maybe get a 997 pdk for the weekly commute ?

She is completely beautiful, I am smitten! Ignore the Noddy jibes ;-) MrsK now wants to know why we can't have one instead of the Spyder! I have suggested that it won't go round Oulton Park as fast but she isn't bothered!! Dyllan, black Silverstone Spyder looks fab but don't use it for a huge commute or you'll end up hating it!ORIGINAL: hosed Thanks Rob - She is part of the family. Had a lovely run down the A14 yesterday and then off through some country roads and villages. Kids waving (anyone think I was driving around in Noddy's car) that should draw some comments. [] Did not happen yesterday but a couple of years ago on a very cold bright winter Sunday morning we were out for a run. I was being followed by a Black Jaguar which looked like it had a chauffeur driver. Anyway, after a couple of miles the car pulled along side and held station at around 60mph. The rear window then opened and an Elderly lady (I mean 80 plus and some) proceeded to lean half her body out. With a great beaming smile on her face she waived her arm and gave me a thumbs up. After a few seconds she got back to her seat, gave me a final wave and the window shut. If ever I saw a 356 owner she was one. It may well have been the fifties or sixties since she owned one, but she did. Anyway picture from the back end. Enjoy your Porsche whatever you drive![][]

MrsK could buy you this restoration project for Christmas [] If you watch the programmes on Discovery HD this could be back on the road in about 21 days from purchase as good as new again [] http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C350860ORIGINAL: rob.kellock She is completely beautiful, I am smitten! Imagine what Bernie could to to that. "Bare metal" restoration, loads of filler, some secondhand parts interrupted by a comedy "accident". What a good idea, channel 5 should make a series about the project... Do you think they'll take a p/ex on the Spyder? Make way for Noddy...
It was lunch time and guess who was spotted out in their new car waving to the Christmas shoppers in Preston today? [][][]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Make way for Noddy...
And the winner of post of the thread goes to John [][][][][] I was just out to pick up a new law textbook on my way to court:
Ah ok. Will certainly look out for that![]ORIGINAL: gouldian Flat6 - Look out for January's PP not just "PP team" reviewing new cars!
Good find. Maybe he can be contacted to find out how he did it.ORIGINAL: daro911 [link=http://www.dspyda.com/Owner_Profiles/Pages/orthojoe.html]http://www.dspyda.com/Owner_Profiles/Pages/orthojoe.html[/link] John this guy has "heated" racing bucket seats in his Spyder ..... My perfect dream spec too [8D]
Spooky! We just posted at almost exactly the same time[] Maybe because he's changed the Alcantara sections to red he could get the heaters put in at the same time. Maybe the alcantara section stitches neatly separately from the leather side sections, so will be easy for John to get them put in []ORIGINAL: daro911 flat6 Any ideas how this guy managed to make his carbon racing buckets into "hot chairs" [] http://www.dspyda.com/Owner_Profiles/Pages/orthojoe.html
Not good for Jamie! []
Still undercutting the other OPC offering by a good £916.00 Still 86 cars fewer than 981's which total a whopping 88 todayORIGINAL: rob.kellock Not good for Jamie! []
Not necessarily. OPC's will usually honour the price you've seen a car advertised for previously. After all, their previous advertised price is what they were willing to accept. But yes, harder to haggle downwards FROM the old price. At the end of the day the car needs to be sold. Jamie is the only one (that we know of anyway) who was working on a deal before the price hike. I can't see them taking his personal deal off the table part way through even if he's taking some time our to consider his options. Get it sewn up Jamie!!! PC Wilmslow are probably reading this thread (Hi guys [] ) and pretty pleased with all the Spyder promoting we've been doing[] On the whole I thought you'd be pleased with the price hike Rob[8|]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Not good for Jamie!
