Snap! Was about to say, in answer to those who might ask "what do we do now?", market researching the Cayman Rs might be the next task for some [;)]

This just popped into my facebook account from Porsche. It's not Spyder but some interesting chatter about old cars by the Urban Outlaw. Will your Spyder be the subject of such stories in years to come[:)] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9YcfnsZRhM

Not sure why you'd ever need more than one Spyder in your collection! Mind you, not sure why he'd need 3 1976 turbos! Spyder is a funny one - first non 911 model with bespoke bodywork since the 924 Carrera GT? Happy to stand corrected by the cognoscenti.

Nice one and I think it won't take anywhere near 46 years before someone somewhere will be driving his Spyder and describing it just as Magnus is this Irish Green machine[;)] [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_4218654141&feature=iv&src_vid=Q9YcfnsZRhM&v=4vZ057sLf1E]http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_4218654141&feature=iv&src_vid=Q9YcfnsZRhM&v=4vZ057sLf1E[/link]

I've never seen another Syder with the 'Courtesy vehicle function' That makes this Spyder pretty rare - what was the option code for such a desirable extra? [8|]

First one has never been tracked. What a tragic waste!! Mine has courtesy vehicle function. It is always very polite. [:D]

Over & Above your Spyder![] 2014 Lotus Elise S Cup R race car The Lotus Elise may no longer be sold in the U.S. but you can still purchase versions of the [link=http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1088253_2014-lotus-elise-s-cup-r-race-car-revealed#]car

[/link] designed for track use. One example is the 2014 Lotus Elise S Cup R race car, which is based on the supercharged Elise S and is designed for the Lotus Cup racing series, competitions for which are run here in the U.S. as well as in the U.K., Italy, Japan, Thailand and China. At the heart of the Elise S Cup R is a supercharged 1.8-liter engine, mounted in a mid-engine position and delivering 217 [link=http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1088253_2014-lotus-elise-s-cup-r-race-car-revealed#]horsepower

[/link] and 184 pound-feet of torque--the same as the road-going Elise S. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and drives the rear wheels only. Performance is enhanced over the road-going Elise S thanks to a motorsport-specific ECU and a wind tunnel-tested aerodynamic package that consists of a front splitter, winglets, rear diffuser, floor extensions and rear wing. Despite these additions, overall weight remains at 2,037 pounds. Initial testing has shown that the ECU upgrade, aero kit and a set of adjustable damper and springs help reduce lap times by 4.0 seconds on a 3-mile lap over the road-going Elise S. Pricing for the 2014 Lotus Elise S Cup R starts at 39,125 British pounds ($62,831) before taxes, but there are plenty of upgrades available to inflate the sticker. These include a roll cage, forged alloy wheels, a six-point harness, a roof piece, brake packages, adjustable dampers and a functional body kit. Lotus is even offering an air conditioner.

Hope none of you Spydermen rely on Porsche sat nav when you go out down, erm, quiet country lanes! I have a light weight Garmin device instead and have never found myself up to my doors in mud. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/early-doors/liverpool-player-forced-abandon-porsche-satnav-sends-him-092708482.html

I don't know why people use sat NAV !!! I was at Classic in the castle and was following my mate out to get home , he turned the wrong way out the event !!! after 5 miles I flashed him over and said, "this does not feel right" he said "just using the NAV", so I looked into the car it added 50 miles to a 90 miles trip and about an extra hour !!! people blindly follow NAVS which I find odd, I have never come a cross a NAV which tells me the right route to take. Not only that, NAV routes are mobile road blocks as every idiot is following them to the letter. must be costing the UK millions in people doing 30% more miles per trip due to NAV use. I have it in my R and have NEVER used it, it's junk. thank god it's not in the Spyder and dead weight !!!!
