It says the Spyder has olive green alloys. Can't imagine how that would look but i'm open minded 'til I see it [:)] It refers to the owner as 'Singer man'. I'd say anyone associated with a Singer Porsche, either owning one (with a 6 figure price tag) or Singer company man, can afford a car 5 times the price of a Spyder. So the Spyder attracts on what it is, regardless of the buyer's [bigger] budget [;)]

ORIGINAL: flat6 Ah OK. So they distorted our figures[:D] Thanks for letting us know [:)] Let's hope the £31K car goes soon - at that price it's letting the side down[;)]
Finding it hard to resist jumping on a plane and buying it , even with the wrong wheels!!
I think it's a steal. With 2 years OPC warranty I think it's giveaway[;)] [Porsches are reliable but as you know they can throw up little niggles at large expense) As has been said (and whilst I don't what the turbo wheels are worth they're not a cheap wheel), to sell the turbo rims on and to get the car so cheaply, to get your own Spyder wheels still puts you in a position of good value. As they say, 'When it's gone it's gone' 8D] A pic of Spyderman Kenny's stunning black example to tempt you[;)]

It's in the picture above your post!! [] Interesting to read: "The canyon driving culture is an established part of petrolhead life in these parts and you can see why, the 991 feeling a little lardy and breathless trying to keep up with Maz's Boxster. "

I saw, but in that pic it pretty much looks like grey represented through a bad camera len giving a hint of green. Maybe that's how they actually look!

Also worth a note Kenny's car has not got Spyder wheels either....but they look good the paint finish is stunning he got it all machine polished after he got it as the dealer sent it out and he was not happy with the swirl marks so got it done himself ,you can see how shinny it is with my car beside his.

Nice to see my car featuring here again, unfortunately its not as shiny just now, after the Kames run last month I have not had time to clean it properly and has been in the garage ever since looking a bit sorry for itsself. Regarding the wheels as far as I am aware these were the standard wheels on the Black edition Spyder which mine is although I do not know what other additions if any were standard on the car. Although I have grown to like the wheels I now think the official Spyder wheel is the nicer wheel although I think black wheels look better on my car. As Brian said I was not happy with the paint finish when I purchased it so had some work done on it by TLC www.tlcdetailing.co.uk This amounted to only 1st stage paint correction as swirl marks were not to serious, for anyone considering it I would thoroughly recommend it as it can take the whole car to a different level, also had the TLC guys do work on my last 997 GT3 RS.

ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Black edition Spyder??? New one on me!
The Black edition Boxster came with Spyder alloys[&o]. There was no such thing as a black edition Spyder to my knowledge [:D]

Boxster S Black Edition for sale on PH http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/boxster-987-05-12/2011-porsche-boxster-s-black-edition-pdk-and-one-owner-amazing-specification/1717021 As Daro said these should come with the Spyder Alloys - and this one does have exactly that!

There's no black edition Spyder but there's currently an Audi TT Black Edition, which you can't get with black paint, just some black bits[&:] http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/audi/tt/62677/audi-tt-amplified-black-edition-revealed

But we do have a Boxster S Black edition http://www.porsche.com/microsite/black-edition/usa.aspx?model=boxster

Kenny's wheels have 18/20 mm silver band where as the Spyder wheels have 6mm band . Look nice to the untrained eye are no different to the Spyder ones

So were they painted after market? I like the rim left in silver only and would definitely do that to mine if i was in the market for a refinish

If you look all the other Spyder and Cayman R wheels painted black all have a narrow band of silver on them .Kennys as far as i am aware where not aftermarket painted but was a standard wheel not sure what is was called (sport) some thing like that At one point i was going to get mine painted black with possibly a red line around the outside but change my mind ,will just keep then stock silver .
