Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

We're doing a grand road tour this summer down to Florence and back. Part of the return is an overnighter in Courmayeur, and I'm seriously tempted to detour over to Tignes, where we went in January, to see what it's like without snow!

Now you're all just making me jealous! All I thought about yesterday was getting out in the Spyder but had a busy day, I guess one thing the Spyder isn't good for is taking the family to the airport with their suitcases and ski's!
...Talking of Skiing, the roads up to and around Les Deux Alpes are very nice! Would love to do a road trip up there in the summer if i ever find a Spyder! Phil

ORIGINAL: Steve Brown Nice kit - I've got a 7D as well. Like you, I need to get using it again - it's not seen action since October, and I fear I've forgotten most of the functions!
I thought the same, but fortunately I seemed to intuitively remember the main ones. Ever since my first SLR in 1980, a Canon AV-1, I tend to shoot in aperture priority as I find it gives me all the creativity I need. On the 7D, the feature I use most is moving the focus point around with the toggle switch and find it very useful. I have considered full frame, but I like the combo of wide EF-S and telephoto EF lenses with the crop format.

I bought and EOS 400D a few years ago and I have never had it off fully automatic. Far too complicated for me so I tend to use my iPhone or a point and squirt pentax which takes an excellent picture.

Next he'll be wanting proper wheels [:D] Maybe if you declare your budget Phil you might persuade someone to come forward with your perfect spec [;)]

Haha.. Somewhere on here its been noted that its white/red + manual + buckets...Rest is a bonus. That black one is nice but i've seen other Spyders come and go quickly. This has a nice spec but hanging around :/ Put it this way i would of bought the one at Top 555 if it had buckets that sold recently. Phil

Black ones not been for sale that long, it just seems long as the owner put it up private, then part exed it for a Aston (I think) at a dealer, now it's up at a dealer and only has been for less than 2 weeks now. Black has been a slow seller though , and of course non Spyder wheels. IF you could live with black, then getting wheels changes is a non issue at the right price as Turbo wheels sell for 1.5k and new wheels are 4.5k. and of course it has the PCCB's, buckets, PSE, sports mode so is a nice spec. Not sure I would want a car with AC though, just more weight and some thing more to go wrong, the AC rads always need changing and AC just seems daft in this car to me.

Red Hoops ..Red Dials Red Belts Red Centre Consul ..Radio.. CD .. Climate ..Rear Park ..VTS Tracking ..and the all important 2 cup holders [:D]. ORIGINAL: philnotts99 Nice spec. Whats the mileage out of interest?
5.745 Bought in March 2013 with just 1,800 on it , It a Sept 2011 would be a 61 plate It was specked by the main dealer and due to its high price then £58K it was eventually sold with just 60 miles on it in March 2012 to the 1 st owner . I bought it a year later with 1800 miles it will give you a guide to what else is out there on price and spec .

Great pics. The water beading on your car shows what a smooth finish you've got on it[:)]

ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan Well it was a nice day weatherwise but the roads were wet and muddy still. Went down through Ruthin to Cerrigydrudion and turned right up the Evo triangle but carried on past Llyn Brenig into Denbigh and then home Before After
Looks better with the dirt on it as it shows it has been thoroughly enjoyed [;)]
