I spent and interesting morning at the Parr Motorsport open day. They had some fantastic classics, modern and race cars there as well as free coffee and Danish pastries! They do a map for the Spyder that adds about 20-25bhp which they are going to email some details on, I'll post up the details when I get them. With that upgrade theydo recommend a more focused geo set up which I believe Mr D has mentioned on here before. They did have this Spyder outside which was a customer car, it's difficult to see in the photo but it's wrapped in grey similar to the Sport Classic colour. Parr have added a TPC turbo kit to it which takes it to 460bhp!! That thing must be like a rocket. Hope everyone has been out enjoying the sunshine!
Did they say how much the 20-25 bhp map cost and would an OPC spot it on their diagnostics That 460bhp Spyder sounds totally mental and I wonder how the clutch and gearbox handle all that extra bhp[] Why is your "SUNCAP" on[:'(]ORIGINAL: Big E I spent and interesting morning at the Parr Motorsport open day. If they can tease another 20bhp for a small fee 350bhp sounds about right for a R[]

That's the grey 460bhp car, in the photo, I assure you I was topless all day if you know what I mean! I think it's around £500, I'll post up the details when they email them to me. Yes an OPC will spot it on their diagnostics, even if the map is removed and the original is put back before it went back to Porsche.ORIGINAL: daro911] Did they say how much the 20-25 bhp map cost and would an OPC spot it on their diagnostics That 460bhp Spyder sounds totally mental and I wonder how the clutch and gearbox handle all that extra bhp[] Why is your "SUNCAP" on[:'(]
Apologise I thought RO11 was your baby []... 460bhp Spyder still sounds ballistic to me but the thrust must be awesomeORIGINAL: Big EThat's the grey 460bhp car, in the photo, I assure you I was topless all day if you know what I mean! Great pics, your car looks amazing there. Not the worst backdrop too!
Thanks Rob and not the worst weather either [8D]shame I only have an iPhone 5 for the artwork[]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Great pics, your car looks amazing there. Not the worst backdrop too!
Artwork is fine. We have sent them all to Boris and your fine is in the post for parking on double yellows []
They're either minature double yellows or it's a jumbo Spyder [&:]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Artwork is fine. We have sent them all to Boris and your fine is in the post for parking on double yellows []

That's actually a reasonable association to make[&o]ORIGINAL: Mrdemon it looks like a MR2
ORIGINAL: flat6 22/2/2013 Did you know that the side air intakes and doors on the 981 were not copied from the Carrera GT but in fact from the Toyota MR2?
ORIGINAL: flat6 Went for my 2nd take on the new Cayman at the local OPC launch and to catch up with some R5-ers, after catching up with some R18-ers at another launch the night before[] There was a nice white 987 Cayman S Sport on display, owned by a customer. The 987 shape still looks good. That car is more the little rebel, than the bigger looking new one. But that's just it the new one looks bigger but isn't.[&:] Considering the sleek rear lights & tapered rear of the 991 vs the stylish spoiler-extending rear lights & funky pinched rear of the 981, which one wins 'rear of the year'? I think you can guess which way i'm edging and it's not what I thought i'd think before seeing them together in the metal.
You would not get 20bhp from a R with just a remap :-( It's about 10bhp if you are very lucky. Porsche has already remapped the R over the Spyder which I am told is just a 987 cayman s map. Shame we cannot ask porsche for a r map on the Spyder, the R map feels loads better back to back. Ask fire 2 about his mate Bob and the route to tuning, he has ended up with 365bhp and that's the most in the Uk or world wide buying bolt ons. And must feel great.ORIGINAL: CLIFFWILKINS If they can tease another 20bhp for a small fee 350bhp sounds about right for a R[]
Spring has sprung here in North Yorks as well! First topless run out of the year for us, with a jaunt up to one of our favourite haunts, and we spotted 6 other Porsches out and about. Today is better weather still, but a visit to the outlaws means we need 4 seats, so no Spyder action. Seriously tempted to take a day off this week for a blat around the dales []
The posts above talk about the grey car on UK plates running 460, so how can it be the most in the UK or worldwide at 365?ORIGINAL: MrDemonYou would not get 20bhp from a R with just a remap :-( It's about 10bhp if you are very lucky. I think we are talking about normal, normally aspirated cars [] You could also put a 3.8 or 4.0 in but it wouldn't be a basic car anymoreORIGINAL: VvrooomMThe posts above talk about the grey car on UK plates running 460, so how can it be the most in the UK or worldwide at 365?ORIGINAL: MrDemonYou would not get 20bhp from a R with just a remap :-( It's about 10bhp if you are very lucky.
