The 1st CR I looked at had black exhaust tips as standard. It was meteor colour and looked well.

Out and about for a great drive on some of the more 'secret' North Wales roads [;)] There were a hell of a lot of Motorbikes on the favourite roads!! []

ORIGINAL: CLIFFWILKINS If they can tease another 20bhp for a small fee 350bhp sounds about right for a R[;)]
You would not get 20bhp from a R with just a remap :-( It's about 10bhp if you are very lucky. Porsche has already remapped the R over the Spyder which I am told is just a 987 cayman s map. Shame we cannot ask porsche for a r map on the Spyder, the R map feels loads better back to back. Ask fire 2 about his mate Bob and the route to tuning, he has ended up with 365bhp and that's the most in the Uk or world wide buying bolt ons. And must feel great.
The posts above talk about the grey car on UK plates running 460, so how can it be the most in the UK or worldwide at 365?
You talk about buying bolt ons which a turbo must count as? I don't call fitting a turbo, tuning a NA engine :)

Seems my secret North Wales roads aren't so secret after all.... Here is CaymanRwirral coming the other way on the back of a bike waving to me!!!

Chrome is better than black because you can polish back to the chrome. Mine are the standard black which get slightly damaged by exhaust gases and can't be completely recovered without re-coating, which I suppose I may have to do at some stage.

My elbow doesn't have that much grease. I have tried all sorts on mine, parts of it don't come up like new anymore. I suppose it is 4 years old and 20000 miles young.

Compared to 35 months young and 1300 dry miles hence looks like brand new still[&:]

Well the best thing about the sun and taking the Spyer out is I have a watch I wear when I only drive the Spyder. A Ltd Gulf Monaco :) I also have a watch for my R :)

Andy, any chance of you being able to share the details of some of these not so secret roads - am planning a Wales road-trip and know of the obvious ones (e.g. black mountain road) but am looking for a decent day-loop in the Brecons or surrounds. Any tips (particuarly want to avoid busy roads). Mr Kellock, same question to you if you'd be so kind!

Hi Billy, Brecon is South Wales and I am North Wales which is quite a distance apart, but let me know if you intend to tour North Wales and I can do a good route for you.

I had my official enquiry lodged with PCGB from the day the first prototype pictures of the Spyder started to hit the tinternet and at launch time I was kindly sent the hardback brochure in that special folder made from the roof and door pull materials .... sadly I never kept the actual envelope / packaging it came in [:(]

Thanks Andy, I think it's South Wales this time - will let you know if that changes (I also think the North has great roads).
