Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

ORIGINAL: MrDemon nice fast sale. 2 more members cars up for sale though, although no adverts yet. Vroom and Spy2010 interesting times, people getting out while prices are high.
These will all seem like bargains by 2020 if things continue at this current pace[:D] New Page New Pic

ask 2010SPy, his is the full Monty, white, I think and will be 40k. what would you pay for mine ? just had full OPC service, full check over inspection (requested as the car was in warranty), Spark plugs change, new MOT and 12 months tax. Also had new clips fitted to rear window and new exhaust mountings fitted as these always rot even on newer cars. no over revs in 3 or above, can still get a Porsche warranty put on it. Brand new tyres, and Porsche geo also, no costs for new owner for 2 years. Roof looks brand new as it's under my bed unused and the car is a dry miles car with 8.8k miles now. my perfect spec F430 has come up for sale, very tempting but's it's 80k which would mean ditching both my lovable cars.

Agree with that Darrell, seems a bit venomous on a normally friendly forum [&:]

Yeah bad timing there Sport. Interesting times in the Spyder/R market. Values getting stronger and stronger quite rapidly. The 981 hasn't dulled its appeal. Is this the first post-911 Porsche sports car to generate a cult following? [:)]

Interesting you would go for the F1 which is no PDK and not go for the fantastic old school metal gate manual with that wonderful clack clack sound accompanying each shift. 2007 so steel anchors too[&o]

They are amazing. But... The 458 surpasses it. And - seriously - would you not get more fun out of the Spyder? There are plenty of places I'd take the Spyder where I would feel like a knob in a Ferrari.

You'll not be able to see over the steering wheel without a cushion in those seats [:D] Joking aside, if that's the car you really want, then go for it. There will always be another CR or Spyder to your spec if you want to go back to one - there probably won't be many 430's like that one again.

There ain't so many Spyders like Demon's though... But yeah, if you want it, go for it. And take us out in it!

that's the issue, I love my Spyder and the R , but I need to have owned a Ferrari, and that spec on the F430 is perfect for me. Both my cars are bloody hard to re buy if I sold them, if they were run of the mill then yes I would change tomorrow, but I do regret selling a few cars, and I don't want to feel like that. Only ever seen one R better than my spec and it was 60k+ 2nd hand and still sold in 1 day. (I even tried to buy it, it had PCCB and xenon on top of the hugh list mine has). And finding a Spyder with leather and PCCB again, well it's not going to happen really. just ordered some RSS arms and was going to order a ti exhaust tomorrow as well. what a to do !!!! Damm Ferrari !!!

I suspect having a 430 on your drive would soon diminish any regret you'd have of selling both Porsches!

I get that. I wouldn't swap my Spyder for another one irrespective of spec as I've had it from new. We have history! Am sure it would be nice to tick the Ferrari box... for a while [:D]

ORIGINAL: rob.kellock I've been on this forum for 8 years. I don't think I've ever seen anyone sell a car in 2 hours before!! Spyders rock.
Are you thinking what I think you're thinking[;)]
