Thanks for all the support guys [] One thing is for sure, I won't be going anywhere, this is the best corner of the Internet to hang out [8D] Thanks John. It's been worth it. What I great car. Any test and it just proves to be the best buy. Only its cousin the CR lives with it for what it delivers pound for pound. I really don't know where I go from here but if I kept the car whilst I deliberate and deliberate i'll have used up all the warranty etc. etc. Better to let someone else have it now and they can get a decent chunk of warranty etc and then I take my time to think about what I get next. tyinsky was proud for me to announce that he has bought the car. I hope you keep up its presence on here!!!!![]ORIGINAL: jdpef356 Lets hope so Andy - are you sure your doing the right thing Cecil? Your car is a superb example, where do you go from here? Well done Cecil. Welcome to Tyinsky if he comes on this thread. He'll have some seroius reading to do!!
The paparazzi love this car![] If you like to get up to no good in your and go unnoticed, you had better choose a different car!ORIGINAL: billy1Presumably this one? http://www.autogespot.com/porsche-boxster-spyder/2014/01/23#img1ORIGINAL: philnotts99 Spotted! One thing is for certain for me though, I can't see there being a 45HP jump in one evolution of the car, from 340HP to 395HP. If someone does the maths on how often we get 10-15HP increments, does that tell us when the 395HP 4 pot turbo is likely? Or do you think it'll arrive without it's full 395HP initially (but then he'd have made a gaff announcing its full potential power so early). The 991 Carrera S launched with a little less power than the 997 GTS The 981 S launched with a little less power than the Spyder/R Wouldn't surprise me if the 981.2 launched with the current 981.1 GTS power and the GTS disappears at the start of 981.2. The GTS is likely to only be an addition to the current car and not its gen 2 successor, I reckon [8|]ORIGINAL: daro911As this is what they did between 987/997 Gen 1 & Gen 2 I see what you are saying could be the way the forward .... So a 981.2 will come in two flavours presumably standard & S and the hot shots with the 395bhp sometime between them and the all new next models 982 etc[&o]ORIGINAL: spyderwhite firstly excuse me i have just come from the pub! some of us need to understand porsche cycles! we are mid way 981 cycle so the gts is the mid waypoint and the runout 981.1! the next gen will be the 981.2 which we now know will be 4 pot and will be 2016 model year arriving mid 2015 with which if porsche make an r/spyder will come 2018/9 and will be 4 pot.as for steping on 911 toes and having 395 bhp there is not aproblem as one is flat6 and one is flat4 turbo.so 395 bhp is just around the corner but in f4 turbo form.audi ttrs anyone!!
He's the buyer for OPC Bristol. Just seen the ad for your car but no pics up yet - its gone up for £42995 with 2 years 10 months warranty. [][][] Only joking.ORIGINAL: flat6 And thanks to Andy Fagan for putting tyinsky onto my ad who is more of a PH'er I believe.

here is how i see it: gts run out model until mid 2015 981.2 4 pot arrives late 2015 with 2 engines circa 2.2(300 hp) and 2.7 (370 hp) late 2017 r/spyder arrives with circa 395 hp 2.7 4 pot engine pdk only. the question is will porsche discontinue the 3.4 or 3.8 911?ORIGINAL: flat6One thing is for certain for me though, I can't see there being a 45HP jump in one evolution of the car, from 340HP to 395HP.
