ORIGINAL: billy1 Anyone claiming this very well used Spyder? http://www.autogespot.com/porsche-boxster-spyder/2014/04/09#img1 500 miles in mine over the weekend on the best roads South Wales has to offer. Car was the perfect companion for the trip, taking all the gear, doing 30mpg on the M4 and being great fun over the mountains. Needs a wash though..... Cayman R spotted on the M4 near Swindon yesterday afternoon - anyone here?
PDK and non PSE by the looks [;)]

I know what you mean, and it's horses for courses, but.....in my view these cars are designed to be used. Really used. Boxsters are THE practical sports car benchmark. To do a few hundred miles a year just seems a shame, a bit missing of the point? Sure, it will get dirty and stone chipped, and it might be worth a bit less, but surely that's worth it for the fun of actually driving these things? I know Spyders are third or fourth cars but there's no need for them to be used sparingly. The roof is fine and they can take the miles as well as any other Boxster. It always seems a shame to me when I see delivery miles performance cars for sale. Yes, they look good - but like a caged animal they've not been allowed to do what they were supposed to do. Just my 2p (if worth that!)

Fair comments but what we have here are the 2 extremes. Well used and abused and garage queen never abused and hardly used [:D] We need something in between to strike a balance[;)]

It's only a bit dirty - a few hours might get it a bit closer to your exacting standards!

What, like this?

21500 miles, this pic taken 250 miles after its last wash - scrubs up quite well still. Has been on track at Anglesey, Oulton Park and bits of Silverstone. Various tours of the Evo Triangle and back to Le Mans again soon. But then, having seen John's beautiful 3000 mile concours + car at the weekend, I can see the attraction of a lightly used piece of art. Whatever floats your boat and suits your lifestyle, would be dull if we all liked the same.

Must be hundreds of Spyder photos on that Auto Gespot site. Pure filth. UK:
