You must be able to get a local car trimmers to do this kind of work as each of the panels is only on with Velcro .Do like the look but in my case would need to be the same shade of red as my car .

ORIGINAL: flat6 Just skimming through the latest issue of Porsche Post to land on my door mat today. Inspiring words from new Regional Director Kellock on pages 7 and 55[:)] I didn't know what your first Porsche was[:)] Jamie Wilson's 997 on page 18. Who's is the Spyder on page 103? Will have a read of the pieces to commemorate 40 years of the 911 turbo. And there's plenty more of interest. Looks like a good edition[:)]
I think it is a great edition of the magazine although I was hoping they would photoshop my mug shot to make me look slim and gorgeous [:D] 10000 hits. Well done fellas. We should start flogging adverts on here...

Yes..... well done Rob on your new appointment .. You cant improve on perfection[:D][:D] ...read you introduction in PP

Love the look of a bit of red in the car. I have ordered a Sports Design Wheel form Suncoast, will have it recovered in GT3 style Alcantara then perhaps do the seat inserts, door handles, gator and arm rest lid. The alcantara is easily available and an easy recover.

ORIGINAL: ted walker My car has MANUAL transmission. In passing I have a friend with a very nice 930 Turbo that he has owned for over 10 years that wants a Spyder.
Now updated on the previous page. Whilst on the turbo subject, for anyone interested, there is a brief summary by Porsche for the 40 years of turbo here, from its roots in the 959. http://dmtrk.net/31V-2DRJA-65GYSC-113HY6-1/c.aspx
ORIGINAL: philnotts99 Everyone wants a Spyder!!... Mine will be manual also. Phil
Now added. Looks like more manual than PDK in our little sample of owners. A few more to record though. The real question is whether the supply and demand of manual is balanced and likewise if the supply and demand of PDK is balanced. [/quote] My Spyder is also manual. Best of luck with the 997 Turbo, Guards Red is a superb colour in the 911. I know you don't like the expression "hairdresser's car" but for anyone who might, I think the Turbo is viewed by most as a very good example of the exact opposite. It sounds like a great buy and it will be interesting to hear what you think about it. Out of curiosity does the Turbo engine require IMS attention? I ask because my 986 has 12k miles and I have been relying on the IMS attention being mileage based and not time based.
