Thanks Ian I'm really looking forward to it. I do like Guards Red so that was a bonus as many of them come in a 'safe' grey metallic or silver or black. The Mezger engine is not prone to IMS (not sure if it has an IMS) Have just been reading that those engines rarely let go but if one does the retail price is £40K or with an engine to exchange, £20K[:-] Scary!!!! Will update the transmission for you and Steve and Rocket

That's a bit of a shock, did you get any warnings e.g. Oil leak, noise or rev counter needle flutter. Did you damage the engine or discover it on time?ORIGINAL: spyderwhite My ims on my 2003 986s went at just under 13k.

i would strongly advise any one with a pre 2006 build 986/7 or 996/7 to upgrade the ims as at least with bore scoring you get warning

Its been for sale about 2 weeks. Good Spyders normall sell in days....
Hi Phil It's hard to judge a Spyder by days or weeks on sale. The market is small and some cars might not have what the small handful of buyers at a given point in time are looking for. If you try to analyse why the car is not for someone else you will tie yourself in knots[] You also have to be shrewd too. Some cars are actually a better buy with a bit of thought than they originally look. OK, so we will give you 4 weeks to find a car and then you will be demoted from the Spyderman list[] Just joking Dyllan, you have until 4 weeks after your Poole build completes I'm sure clubsport will be swooping in on a few more Spyders yet[]
Good Spyders may normally sell in days [&o] (your research) but GREAT Spyders usually sell within 4/5 weeks personal experience [][8D] Aqua Blue ones in hours []ORIGINAL: philnotts99 Its been for sale about 2 weeks. Good Spyders normall sell in days....

It sounds to me it hasn't been looked after!curbed wheel on a £40k car !You would have that fixed before sale or not curbed it in the first place ,so what other horrors lie in waitORIGINAL: philnotts99Its nice, but why hasn't it been snapped up yet?!ORIGINAL: daro911This one must surely fit the garage space [] http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/boxster-987-05-12/porsche-boxster-987-gen-ii-spyder-2011/2249445?isexperiment=true FPSH I'm the second owner and the car has covered 7200 miles.
