Sell it normally. When I bought my 996, the seller only even told me there was finance on it once we had agreed on a price. He got the finance company to provide a written settlement figure and gave it to me. I paid off his finance directly and paid the balance to him. The finance company provided a receipt with written confirmation that they no longer had any interest in the vehicle. No problem at all to me.ORIGINAL: Stuartelec Hi Guys, just a quick question, sort of Spyder related, What's the best way to sell a car when there is still finance attached to it? I read about it earlier in the forum and would like some advice from you all if you could please Cheers Stu

Stu, my advice having dealt with a seller that had outstanding finance on the car is be open and transparent with any serious buyer. Once you've established they are a serious buyer provide them with the details of the finance company and let them check out the procedure for settling themselves. Typically they will be able to settle on the day of the sale via electronic transfer or debit card, may take a couple of hours for funds to clear and once that has been confirmed by the finance company the seller should be happy to take any cash balance and hand over the keys/V5 etc. Personally I wouldn't advertise the car with outstanding finance as that might scare off people who don't realise it's all quite straightforward - wait until you've got someone really wanting your car before explaining the situation but then be open with all the details. Hope that helps.ORIGINAL: Stuartelec Hi Guys, just a quick question, sort of Spyder related, What's the best way to sell a car when there is still finance attached to it? From memory i think his spyder badge is offsett i was looking at his car last tuesday night in the dark at the R13 meet, but had consumed a couple by then( i wasnt driving) He was at porsche on the prom, so pretty certain its him( he is my size which is not the ideal length for a spyder) if that helps ??ORIGINAL: flat6 Thanks Stuart. I think I've met Spyderlite before. Didn't realise his interior was red though as it was a very wet day at 'Porsches on the Prom' in Llandudno last year and the roof was on. Does the car have the Spyder badge off centre on the rear along with a nurburgring sticker and some pretty cool looking front rad guards? Hope your answer isn't "Erm, no, no and erm, no." lol [:-][]

Regarding the Shelsley Breakfast meeting this Sunday, both myself and "new spyder man Les" hope to attend. So it might be a "Shelsley three"
Ted don't forget to ask your Spyderman Les if he would like to join flat6's Spyder Roll Call[]ORIGINAL: ted walker Regarding the Shelsley Breakfast meeting this Sunday, both myself and "new spyder man Les" hope to attend. So it might be a "Shelsley three"
I will be there , Darrell is unable to make it, due to a previous commitment. Unlikely to be more than three unless Matt Hole fancies another drive out! Apparently the White PDK/Carrera Red Interior has been sold to a future Spyderman coming on here hopefully The OPC Hatfield car is no longer in the showroom so may well have gone The Cat "D" car is far too expensive with a history like that[] So proper cars we are looking at just 3 [] 911V x 2 and one Red Private seller on PH A nice round numberORIGINAL: philnotts99 Spyder watch update... Hi All, You're spot on with the spec, although it does have AC, the short shift gear throw and the sat nav as well. To compensate for the AC i lost the weight and kept it [] No quite ready to sell just yet. As for what i would replace it with and having given this a lot of thought when this question was raised a while back. At the time i couldn't decide on anything as the car is so special. i have now come to a decision: A PORSCHE BOXSTER SPYDER in BLUE

Hi Daro, That's to one right there, Blue with Red leather. Looks great, that is my perfect colour combo. I know its a very personal choice. But someone once spec'd a white one with red leather and extra white bits!!! We all know what that one is

My car has Buckets and Turbo 2 wheelsORIGINAL: flat6Done Interesting factoid (or perhaps not[8|]), one of the wheel options for the Spyder was the Turbo wheel at an extra £810 +VAT, same cost as the Turbo II wheel option. Why offer both the old and new Turbo wheels on a car that was introduced at the end of the 987.2 life cycle?[&:] Maybe because its light, being a forged wheel. Looks a bit strange though having a wheel from an earlier period on a newer car. Have only ever seen one pic of a Spyder on the turbo wheel, which I can no longer find, so this is the nearest thing.ORIGINAL: flat6Will do. Will add the wheels at the same time. As you you say, the odd pic doesn't show them.ORIGINAL: DarrellWilsonPCCB might be another one, a significant cost item that can be argued adds to resale values (or not to stop a trail of counter arguements []). Don't think there's many out there but be interesting to have a count. Realise they're sometimes visible from photos with the yellow calipers but not always depending on angle of photo.ORIGINAL: flat6 I think the last thing I should add to the Spyderman list is seats we each have. The wheels can be seen from the pics[]Anyway, have added seats, brakes and wheels to member details for those interested in how the different choices tally up. Please shout if you know any that are missing or are wrong. Hoping to get up to bonnie Scotland in a week or so to collect my car. I will still be hanging around the Spyder forum,a lot[] (once a Spyderman, always a Spyderman and all that[]) but it would be good if current Spydermen could keep up their members list should they want to, whilst I dedicate some time to validating 911 myth, legend and folklore (aka spirited driving[]).
